Well, Game genie is a bit more difficult than PAR codes. I would suggest you visit http://www.codemasters-project.net or Hacking 101 http://dlevere.htmlplanet.com/

They focus pretty heavily on making faqs. About all I know is that Making Game Genie codes is usually alot different than PAR codes. With Infinite Energy codes each handles the situation differently. PAR would just hold the energy value at the value you set it to. But Game genie would use an op code to tell the Energy value to never even be written to when you lose energy. Game Genie is probably superior but it is alot more complicated.

Sometimes music mod codes are easy to find. Sometimes they are hard as heck. If there is a sound test option that helps sometimes, cause it gives you the value of the music. Really all it takes is using a different to search each time the music changes. And when you got the number of results down to a managable number you can start copying down the addresses and testing the codes. The best way to test them would be to take the address and add a value of zero to the end of the code. That way when you try to start the music it won't start.
