  • Super Ghoul N Ghost (SNES) - Walk through wall cheat

    Hello !

Can anybody make a cheat to walk through wall in the video game Super Ghoul N Ghost (SNES, GBA...) ?

Reason : if you have already played this game, you know that some chest are hidden and to make them appear you have to jump (sometimes double jump) at specific places.
At the stage 4 - area 1 (http://vgmaps.com/Atlas/SuperNES/Sup...age4-Area1.png), it seems that the 4th chest trigger (you begin the stage at the bottom left) is behind the wall (so you can only make the chest appear by using magic which reveal hidden chest). I just want to test myself, so I need a cheat to walk through wall.

I also heard about a program which show you the all the hitbox and other data on screen in a game. Can anybody tell me what is it ?

    Use Zsnes on pc.

Thanks in advance for any useful reply !

    Here you go:

    Walk Through Walls
    DD29-0F01
    6D22-AF0C
    6DB4-04D6

You will likely fall through the floor in many walls so use a infinite double jump to help.

Thank you very much Helder !

Your code works on zsnes !

For those who are interested : the trigger of the 4th chest at the stage 4 is...behind the wall ! So, yes it was right !

Any info about the program which show you all the hitbox in the game ?

No clue but maybe if there is some Debug menu or mode in the game it might be an option but I'm not sure this game has such a menu or mode.

Someone told me that he/she contacts a guy who made a speedrun of Super Ghoul N Ghost. The speedrunner (PJ) made a video with some commentary, and in this video he uses something to show hitbox. I just verify and here it is :

http://www.twitch.tv/pjdicesare/c/2413001 - Watch at 6' minutes (or even begin at 5'50).

I think he uses something called "Lua Scrpiting" (http://tasvideos.org/LuaScripting.html).

          More info : https://code.google.com/p/mame-rr/wiki/Hitboxes

Wow that's a big discover to me !
