  • Tekken 4

Okay, I received a copy of this game (along with Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 5) from a friend. I used the standard CodeBreaker "Infinite Health P1" code and it works without a problem (needed it with Ling Xiaoyu for reasons which should be painfully obvious). However, after completing the game with this code in place, it skips the character ending completely. I tried using the code with some other characters and got the same result. Everything else seems to work fine, though, So, my question is, is it the code causing this or is it something with the disk?

Have you tried to beat the game without codes to see if you get an ending?

Sure, I tried, but it's a bit tougher than I'm used to, and my best character doesn't seem to be available. That's why I wanted to use the code to see if she could be unlocked. Is there any known issue with codes blocking the ending movies?

Anything is possible, but without verification that you actually receive an ending there is not much we can look into. Endings may only be shown if your playing on the correct difficulty or possibly other factors entirely. If you can receive an ending without the code on the difficulty your playing at now, then it may be grounds to see why the code is blocking it from being shown. If you don't receive an ending at your currently difficulty without the code, try upping the difficulty in the options of the game (you should test the code on a higher difficulty as well).
Not taking any requests at this time.

is your game is backup copy?

or are you using any game loaders?

No, and no. I am playing the actual CD game on actual hardware.

I tried playing on both Normal and Hard difficulty with no luck. But when trying to view the movies in Theater mode with no codes active, I still was unable to see them. So, I am thinking that the problem may be with my disk and not the codes at all. I only asked because I read elsewhere that the game has some issues with codes. If there are no KNOWN issues like this, then it is most liely the disk. It is a used copy, after all.
