Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island Question

Is Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island Question compatible with Game Genie or not? It doesn't seem like it is, yet there are codes for it on the site that are credited to Galoob, so I'm a bit confused.

They are not compatible with real hardware, unless you bridge the connections for the SuperFX chip, then maybe.

Then, how is it there are codes for the game made by Galoob?

Codes work on real hardware, so I don't know what's going on.
