  • Found a noticeable difference on my Genesis emulator vs. the PAR

I have a soft modded Original Xbox with different emulators on it. The Genesis emulator that I have is NeoGenesis.

When I was hacking WWF Royal Rumble & Greatest Heavyweights, I ran into some differences & some problems.

    For example:
WWF Royal Rumble there was a PAR code that I found earlier:
    Player 1 Modifier: FFD183:0000
The emulator's trainer show's that same code as being: 3000D182:0000
    Why is that?

Furthermore, when you use that modifier on the PAR, it caused the you to play as Macho Man Randy Savage, but his palettes would match those of who you chose. This emulator doesn't do that, it just has you playing as Randy Savage with his normal attire.

I also noticed a similar issue with Greatest Heavyweights.
The code Head modifier when starting a new career: FFF19C: 00??
When I use the code 3000F19C:00??, it modifies the created boxer's skin color, which on the PAR is located at FFF19D:00??.

Hacking games is always fun because you don't know what's hidden in the game.

    because genesis emulators switches
RAM data to Big-endian to little-endian and vice versa

    Example:
    If PAR(RAM) Code

on Kfusion is FFE568:01, on GENs is FFE569:01 (even address (0,2,4,6,8,A,C,E) plus 1 (1,3,5,7,9,B,D,F))

on Kfusion is FF0401:09, on GENs is FF0400:09 (odd address (1,3,5,7,9,B,D,F) minus 1 (0,2,4,6,8,A,C,E))

When I list the codes found on the emulator, do I need to list them as they are found on the PAR or do I need to list them as they are found on the emulator? Or does it matter?

          Okay.

I'm going to breakout the Retron 3, get my Genesis PAR with my loose games, & do all this side-by-side.

I've been working on rankings modifiers (for career mode) for Greatest Heavyweights. So far I've got most of the values tested, but have only got the modifiers for rankings #30 to #27. This weekend, I'm going to try to get the rest of them.
