    I Have A Great Idea!!!

    Why don't we be the firast to save people the trouble of typing out ps1 codes?

    With dex drive you can transfer code saves
    or...
    if you don't have one (hard to find) then just download GSCCC2002 and it has a feature to download and add saves.

    We could have a code link that lets them download the codes with all the new ones added!

      yes. updated codes can be added in as created ad nauseum

        It should be possible. I was kind of thinking about doing that for at least the SNES codes. I'll have to figure out how the saves are put together, and find somebody to test them, as I can't do it...

          I have dex drive and GSCC2002. You don't need either program to recieve and post the files. Actually there is even an editor(somewhere)that allows you to open your save and edit with wordpad. I didn't know much about it back then and erased my codes once. I will look for that. It would make your end "ALL PC".

            It would be pretty cool if we could do that with all systems. For cheat files. I mean, the gens cheat files are pretty straight forward. Gens is what alot of hackers use to make codes. Kega Fushion is for maschosists.

              Haven't found the program yet to open Gameshark saves with wordpad But, I found one that opens them and lets you make changes with hex. (would be a little slower)

                All you need is GSCC. I tried it and it updates the code list nicely (for those billions of codes we have). Then you save the updated game file and post it. You can only save one games codes on a memory card at a time. I suggest we have one save for each game. when new codes are added we just update with GSCC.

                  Heh, there's actually a bit of a bug with GSCC updating the code list sometimes. See, it doesn't check too perfectly if the codes are correctly formatted, so it's possible to make the GS look like it's completely screwed up. But, if you just overwrite the cheats again, or at worst reflash the thing it's easily fixed.

                  My idea would be to have php generate code saves, rather than people actually making them. I know this can be done for emulation cheat files, but I don't know if it'd work well for gameshark code saves.

                    I kind of had this idea a while back as well.... I siad a few things about it, my whole thing of adding game saves and code saves (as is pressing select saves one game title's codes to your memory card and anything put on a PSX (PSOne) memory card can fit nicely into the DexDrive device. That has been awhile and I know I still have 'alot' to get to it, but I also love and support Lughi's idea fully as well.

                    The only 'bad' thing is the DexDrive, those things are rare, really rear, and if you are even able to get one, your PC had better not be a new model. (a new model PC no longer has the disc A drive it now has memory card drives) the DexDrive comes with 2 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 flobby disc with the set up files on them...and well heck those are not even used anymore by most. Also, well you also need a '16-pin' hook up to even plug the thing in....my PC is not 'that' old...it has ONE only 16 pin drive as they used to be called, now 'all hook ups are USB...so again DexDrive is rare even but even more rare to get to work on 'any' new PC these days.

                    Also, and otherwise, talking even about having a 'working' dex drive is kind of dangerous anyway, I made a mistake a while back before GSCCC went all pelican up thier ass and they still did the the GSPro...it has been a few years, but I was simply trying to help someone and told them I could send them saves via a dexdrive file, and all of a sudden that person and ALOT of others strarted going nuts just because I was lucky to buy this device and still have it. We are talking people like 'tab' asking me to flat out send them my dexdrive, no payment (to them it was not worth money but hell I can send it for free if I wanted to) and being that was an admin their hell, they said it out in open and everyone else started jumping on, 'no send it to me, no to me, no to me'.

                    Having some rare mess can get you into alot of shit these days it seems.... which is not what it all should be about and I am not complaining, I wanted to help one person with a save, but everyone took it to say hey send me a device I paid for and have me pay for shipping and all else, hell for even tab that is and was stupid as hell, I had to stay away from that place for awhile with all the mess I got 'so when you going to send me that dexdrive' and when I said 'never' everyone got all pissed. Sometimes people are real jerks in the world but eh it goes with rare stuff.

                    Fact is, well hell if I had a million extra DexDrives I would send them out to many who wanted them, but when it is soemthing I enjoy using and simply was using it to help someone and they turn around after getting a help save and say hey send me that device as well and then that just causes everyone else to jump in...well after that I do tend to be alot more cold and evil now but only when it is deserved hehe

                    Anyway still great idea, not fully was mine, I was thinking about that a small bit as I said awhile abck, but have yet to get to it, but doing so would be really good, again the only fear will be when all of thsoe without dex drives start the demanding the dex drives... and getting all pissed off when you tell them simply, go to a grage sale, flea market..... (Sadly 'now' those places are about the only places that would have the things now)

                    Also you know what, heck I go to flea markets and garage sales all the time I see one around town or such, indeed those do have some nice things, all things from well game wise, from Atari things all the way up to XBox things...even some real gems as far a PSX rare games as well. (So sorry for them, but we all know and heard the stories and such of mom selling the new XBox 360 on ebay because sonny was smoking at school....heck that happens ALOT, and more at home in rela life then even on ebay of all places, so I would also say always check around, you can find pissed off parents on every street in the USA really....heck ALOT of video game stuff at flea markets and such should be hitting soon enough due to school about to end and all the kids these days being freaking idiots with I.Q.s as high as a corn cobb, so soon enough as soon as mom and dad find they will be failing the 4th grade for the 8th year 'again' that is all more stuff out there for sale at really cheap prices. Some may say it is not right, but it is life, and cheap to grab the mess, as always who said life was fair. Life does however seem more fair if you can at least have the I.Q. and know how to know real life from a video game, so due process of mom and dad justice really, and again, heck it never hurts to grab something for 20 bucks that would cost $200.00 at the game store.
