  • Best NES flash multicart?

What are the best choices for a special NES cartridge that allows you to load ROMs onto a SD/CF card and insert that card into the special NES cartridge for play on a real NES console? An example would be the NES Powerpak: http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?products_id=34

That's the only one I could find using Google. Any others worth looking at? Is the Powerpak a good choice? TIA.

I looked around and that is the only one that is available for NES, I did some others but they are proto types and not for sale.

I'm thinking about buying this. What about a SNES one... is this the best one as well? http://www.retrousb.com/product_info...products_id=84

And what about a Genesis one?

No, that is not the best SNES one. The best SNES one right now is called the sd2snes. I can testify because I have one and I love it. Compatibility is higher, though not perfect, but it is still being worked on. Cheat codes and SuperFX support is planned, and the unit is upgraded through firmware. Good luck getting one though. You can try stoneage gamer. They have boards for other systems as well... I hope you got money and patience.

Your suggestion is cheaper than retrousb's one: http://stoneagegamer.com/super_everdrive_cart.aspx. It is only $99 bucks. Retrousb is $145.

I don't get the "goodluck" getting one and that you hope I have the "money and patience".

Are they usually sold out or difficult to obtain? (goodluck).

Are they difficult to deal with? (patience)

It is cheaper than retrousb's. (money)

Not the super everdrive. That thing sucks. The sd2snes is a different board. You usually have to get on a waiting list for them.

I just thought you'd need to be rich to browse that site, because once you start adding everything you want to the cart, it adds up fast.

Patience because a lot of things go out of stock fast and you're stuck waiting.

Definitely sd2snes, as far as SNES goes. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one. (FYI, there are some international sites with the bare board in stock, but I'm holding out for a purple deluxe edition from StoneAgeGamers.)
