KH2FM Codebreaker code problems with esr

I have finally got a working codebreaker.elf but when i input some certain codes they let the game run but freeze the game with the music playing and some when i run my burned kh2fm with esr it goes through colours and then stays on a pink screen, can you someone help me

The magenta screen indicates either incorrect patching, a failed burn or a corrupted image.

i made this kh2fm burned game 2 months ago and it works 100% and i patched it with esr patcher 24a

Although the copy of the kh2fm game was one i downloaded off the interenet and i have a actual copy of the game, do you think if i burn the original on a dvd and esr patch it before burning it would work better
