Edit: Yeah, he hated you for CB2Get, misfire. The way he whinged about it in IRC, I thought it must have chewed up gigabytes of bandwidth. It turned out to be a couple of megabytes worth, at most, even factoring in overhead for requests and the like. He locked half the site behind logins and captchas to block it, which sort of forced me to beg you not to release your updated version that got around all that. I figured he'd go into rage mode and force everyone to buy a key to get access to CBC files, or just make the whole site dark in an effort to beat you.

Heh, we have dumps of all the cbc's, cbs's, most of the pcb's as well as the entire site both cmgsccc and codetwink. If the place were to go dark, I wouldn't cry.

Well, now. Back in whatever year it was that all this occurred (2007 or 2008), you could still access CBC and CBS files using the unmodified CodeBreaker software. And doing so was the only option for a lot of people who had 75000+ model PS2s. Since Pelican/CMX appeared to not give a rip about their I/O module not working, and CMX just in general seemed to value his ego and elite hacker reputation more than customer service, I had to play whining den mother and convince misfire to stop pinching the other boy. I don't know for certain that he would have gone Scorched Earth, but he shut the site down once before because some people hurt his feelings after he ran over his own dog.

Yeah, I can already decrypt and unpack CBS files. What's missing is the extraction of the files' content.

MyMC deals with CBS extraction iirc, so the source for that could help you if you're stumped.

The source code, which looks very professional, does the CBS magic in ps2save.py. (Wondering where he got the RC4 key from...)

Coincidentally, I'm a Python programmer myself, so it shouldn't be too hard to finally add CBS support to cb2util too.

Looks like it originated from PS2 Save Builder. Unpack the EXE and it's at 0x0001BAD0.

Yes, poorly documented feature but the following command will do just that...

cb2util cheats -d cheats > cheats.txt
