  • PS2cc Bug?

Me and RASAS have been encountering an odd problem while looking for pad addresses for games. RASAS always ends up with most of the results never disappearing. It's the opposite for me. I always end up with no results by the third scan. All I am doing is holding buttons and scanning for those buttons. I then went back to ps2rd 0.42 and that seemed to somehow fix the problem. It didn't fix anything for RASAS, so it must have been some odd coincidence that it was working correctly for me.

Any guesses as to what it is? Is ps2rd sending incorrect data, or is ps2cc interpreting the data incorrectly?

To figure out where the problem lies, I suggest to not use ps2cc. Instead, create your memory dumps with ntpbclient and compare the files with RenegadeEx. Post your results here.

By the way, I added this to the issue tracker: http://github.com/misfire/ps2rd/issues#issue/4

misfire i dont think i can do your plan i dont know how to use ntb client and renegade x will work with pcsx2 which i also am unable to do since my computer isnt strong enough to handle pcsx2

and i think ntb client came with the non bin download of ps2rd, i used the bin version, because i didnt know how to assemble the ps2rd.

As of version 0.5.2, ntpbclient is a Perl script. You need ActivePerl on Windows to execute it. Here's how to invoke ntpbclient on the command line: http://github.com/misfire/ps2rd/blob...ntpbclient.txt

In RenegadeEx, select Hook Type "File" to compare several RAM dumps.

Btw, I recently added ps2cc to PS2rd's new "contrib" folder.

wait so i can still use ntb client while using an actual ps2 in stead of an emulator of it and also renegade x ?

Yes, you create multiple RAM dump files with ntpbclient and compare them with RenegadeEx to find your codes.

It just closes? Use cmd.exe on your computer and then use it I'm guessing.
