  • (Artemis) Cheat System released

HUGE NOTE: All of my future development of Artemis will take place at http://bitbucket.org/misfire/artemis/. I will no longer use BountySource.

    It's finally out.

Some minutes ago, I committed my code to the SVN trunk:
    https://svn.bountysource.com/artemis/trunk/artemis/

Please see files README and INSTALL for further information.

As I will follow the stable trunk strategy, I also created a development branch called artemis-next. This is where all development should take place. If new features etc. turn out to be stable, they'll be merged to the trunk later on (see Artemis Commit Policy).

Further, I created a tag for version 0.1.

Puh, this was a lot of work. I need holiday...

Well, after getting some sleep and thinking a little bit more about our development model, I came up with the Artemis Commit Policy.

In essence, I'm the maintainer of artemis-next and take responsibility for it. If you have anything to contribute, you can send me patches via email.

Jimmi, who will merge his code soon, is also comfortable with it.

        Any objections?

Sounds good. We need to establish such guidelines.

Yes, we should probably add a "Downloads" section to https://artemis.bountysource.com/ where we can provide precompiled binaries.

                  Lazy, what do you say?

Makes sense since all the over contributing tasks / sources also have a precompiled bin area too.
The only problem I see is if people start mistaking it as a fully fledged working system / stable build and expect it do everything then become disappointed when it doesn't they need to be clearly labeled as beta tryouts and not the full thing where working on to achieve.
I'd also like it if people uploaded a updated readme with every code revision so you can get a clearer idea of what has been updated since the last build, ntpbserver's documented development history is almost non existent, I'm no coder but I like reading up on how you fixed certain things etc, it gives me even more admiration for what you guys do, I love reading development histories am I strange lol???.

I'm not speaking for Lazy, I'm just expressing my feelings towards what you said even though you didn't ask for it.

Yes, that's why it is version 0.1.

The CHANGES file contains a history for all released versions.

Jimmi and I are currently working on version 0.2 which mainly includes merging his code from Core Launcher to enable hacking.

Can you ask him to do what I said about the development history, please!
I know it's nitpicking and not really necessary but it's something I really want him to do with the future builds of the Core Launcher.
Anymore thought gone towards dumping to a IDE HDD via the na with a FAT ps2 or is Artemis only being used to cater to slimline users?, dumping to mass is far too slow imo if you want to hack codes without the aid of a pc and lan connection.

I guess all features of Core Launcher will soon be added to artemis-next. I'll update the CHANGES file for each release.

At the moment, we're only concentrating on hacking via Ethernet - the most powerful solution.

misfire: There already is a small Download spot, with a beta release. If you like, email me a copy of the download package you'd like put up, or attach it here, and I'll add it. I was going to put together a quick binary package for the cheat engine anyway, but I haven't had time to do so yet.

I think we should add a "Downloads" link next to "Home" and "Development" like many other BountySource projects do.

                              Here's a binary version of tag 0.1: http://bitbucket.org/misfire/artemis/downloads/

Also, I think it is a good idea to release binary snapshots of artemis-next.
