  • (Artemis) BountySource account

It already has been said, but I think this deserves a thread of its own.

Project Artemis now has a BountySource.com account:
    https://artemis.bountysource.com/

Read this if you are unfamiliar with BountySource.

The site provides a SVN code repository. The sources can be checked out this way:
    Code:
    $ svn co https://svn.bountysource.com/artemis
If you are a developer and want to participate, feel free to sign up and you'll get the permissions to add source code to our repository.

Also, tasks can have a monetary bounty placed on them from users willing to donate something. So this can be win-win-situation for both users and developers.

Yes, I believe BountySource will really help the project.

I've been thinking about donating to a bounty, but I'm not sure which one, yet. I don't want it to be a simple grab, but I also don't want it to be a holy grail. I am considering a decent amount of cash, obviously...

You can also submit a task, and after it's approved, put a bounty on it...in case the current available tasks are not suitable for your bounty, heh.

And, that would be awesome. The more help and "inspiration" for developers, the better

That's a good point; I've submitted a task for approval!

Then you have yourself the first bounty for the Artemis project.

Nice! Thanks for contributing, man (and nice touch with 2^8). Actually, I did make a small bounty earlier for dump2mass, which misfire built. But, this (thankfully) trumps mine, heh.

Ah! So that means a bounty was already recovered, and I can no longer find any reference to it?

I just hadn't properly displayed Closed tasks; I've fixed that. However, old bounty amounts are apparently not shown...

I guess this should add some security, so no one can track your bounties and rob you...

Heh. Still, it would be nice to show new members that older tasks have indeed paid off. Perhaps I'll find a way to manually add it...so, erm, carry your stun-gun when walking out to the BountySource parking lot at night

Exactly. In the meantime, there is at least one which I imagine will stick around for a while (and could possibly grow, as time moves on). Unless some no name hacker pulls it out of their ass. Of course, stranger things have happened.

And either way, the outcome will be great

My enthusiasm for allowing everyone to easily hack the PS2 has not waned since the beginning.

Looks like BountySource is experiencing some problems.

I've not been able to reach the site since last Friday.

EDIT: They are finally back online!
