I've just fixed the link on my previous post.
I see the code you sent me, thanks ! The initial GSM Mode Selector release was based on the PNSelector function from the PS2ZoneLoader source code, shared by fusion (I ask myself where he/she is now? Perhaps he/she be still on activity on scene...)
Well, now we are in beta stage, using all information we have to improve GSM's functionalities and fix the bugs.
There are many lack of information on some GS Registers. It seems that Sony does not provided all the GS information for the developers who bought the Sony's PS2 Linux Kit.

I had a quick look at your sources. Your program seems to do things quite similar to what I do.

I noticed that you're using my function GetSyscallVectorTableAddress() (without credits). Actually, you don't need it; use GetSyscallHandler() from the PS2SDK instead.

          misfire,

I saw your source code, based on PS2 Zone Loader, like mine, but great to see and learn from your addional comments clarifying some procedures in synchronization and proper Branch Delay Slot handling.

About your merited credits, I will putting a specific comment right before GetSyscallVectorTableAddress ASAP; I hope you noticed in the beginning of GSM source code, that I am thanking a lot of people that contributed direct and/or indirect to the GSM project - and you are also included there ;-)

And, feel free to use GSM code into Artemis' videomod !

Despite I am not consider myself a good coder, sometimes I (believe that I) have good insights and make connections on apparently disperse and non-connected ideas and facts. I am also persistent on researching.

I know there are a lot of things to fix and add on GSM, and it is clear for me that I cannot go further without standing on the giants' shoulders...

So, if you feel that GSM project deserves your attention, feel free to join us, we certainly wil be grateful for any kind of information or contribution from you. You're welcome!

However, if you cannot join us, due to your personal reasons and other time consuming projects, I will understand and respect this okay!

          BR,

No problem. As I said earlier, you don't need the function anyway.

I don't think that I'll have time to work on your project. I'm so busy with Artemis and life in general.

But I can give you a good advice: use a version control system like Mercurial or Git, and host the repository at bitbucket.org or github.com. It's the best you can do for such an open source project.

              Hi,

Thanks for your suggestions, are welcome!
I will talk with dlanor about this possibility. He joined us on GSM thread, and currently he is GSM co-author too - In fact, he is the main coder ! - I still there, sometimes as the author; frequently as just a sorcerer's apprentice contributing with some good input ideas and making the people contribute for the common goal).

I don't quite follow. What "this" are you referring to?
