  • Code Designer Projects v1.0 [Test]

Just looking to have this old vb6 project tested out a bit. It's an upgrade from the original CodeDesigner, allowing multiple file projects. So you don't have to have a lot of CodeDesigner windows open to do multiple file work on the same project. The GUI is different, and I'm trying to see if anyone has any issues with the text box control that I made for better syntax highlighting. You might have to run it with Windows XP compatibility mode, so lemme know if you find any issues or if it's working just fine or whatever.

    CD Projects.rar
To open the example project, go to File -> Unpack Project

If you need any help on how to use it post here I'll help you understand it better.

Small revision to this old project. Included in the Code Debugger, which acts as an EE Emulator for live code execution.

However this marks the end of this project. I have been shifting over to the .NET framework for more compatibility on the newer machines.
I have already started writing up the EE core for the Code Debugger in VB.NET, and once it is finished I plan to add the rest of Code Designer (Projects) functionality into the application and complete the CD upgrade to .NET. I have decided to take the open source route for the .NET version, the source to the EE interpreter can be found on GIT (https://github.com/mbacker80/PS2-EE-VB.NET-).

Conversion to .net has been very fruitful so far. Added in some new features, and allowed the ability to revert back to "Classic Style" if the full on projects setup is too much to handle. Here's a screen shot of some of the revisions made.

It is capable of so much more than the old, outdated, original design. It takes on some of the C syntax for implementation of FOR loops, IF statements, SWITCH statements, Function declaration, etc.

Demo download coming soon (with more details on how to utilize the new features) after some of it's bugs are worked out...
