I'm itching for this HD remaster on PS3 next month, and I'm curious if anyone ever hacked the PS2 save to know what kind of bullshit checksum was on it. Do remastered PS2 games generally use PS2 save format on PS3 or is that stuff all different and PS3 spec? I'd like to be prepared when the time comes. I think there were a few other PS2 to PS3 ports (God of War, etc), so I'm wondering what the past releases of this type have been like. Who knows, maybe I'll have a reason to finish the memory editor in the latest incarnation of Renegade. I have to finish the Xbox game I'm getting tomorrow first though (EDF 2025). I already spent 550 hours on the japanese version of it. Yayz for stackable achievements. lol

I don't have any answers to your questions, but just wanted to say that I can't wait for this game to come out either. It's the first game I've ever pre-ordered.
Edit:
Oh yeah, I do remember there being a save editor for the PS2 version of Final Fantasy X:

Cool. Let us know when you hear anything. Hopefully, it'll get leaked early like some games and be hacked quick.Originally posted by Skiller View Postif they take the time im kinda hoping the format will follow that of there Ps3 FF games ..
very simple to find the areas.. they tend to use a Block format with named areas so we will see i also have this game on preorder .

The Game Genie Save Editor for PS3 (payware)

Bruteforce Save Data (freeware)
