    Real Time Acre Modifier[dragonboy269]

Anyway, you can use this code to modify your acres in real time. Type xxyyy into the chat, submit your message, and press c+up then go in and out of a building.
xx is the acre slot number and yyy is the acre value.
    for acre slots look here
    http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/k.../acreslots.jpg
and look here for acre values:
    http://www.aibohack.com/wii/accf_acres.htm
Forget the first 0, only use the last 3 digits, like if it says 016F just put 16F, if it says 0055 just put 055
    Code:
    206E23C0 00004008
    C0000000 0000000E

    2C05016F 41810008
    B0BBEFF4 4E800020
    E0000000 80008000

I made it impossible for you to store a value above 16F, or to use an acre slot above 30
however it is still possible to corrupt your save. Be careful.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Multiple slots text to item[dragonboy269]:

Type xyyyy into the chat, submit your message, and press c+down.
x is the number of slots you want to store the item in, and yyyy is the item code. For example, to store an apple in 14 slots, type e9000
    Code:
    206E23C0 00004004
    C0000000 00000012

    Single Acre/Full town real-time search and replace[dragonboy269]
    (Maniac posted/compiled the original)
Using this code, you can search and replace 1 acre at a time (you can choose which acre)
You're probably thinking "Why would I wanna do that?" Well it can be pretty cool XD I made a town with a pattern of roses that alternates on every acre and it looks awesome. (it worked better for deseeding on AC:WW, but it's still cool on AC:CF)

Anyway type xx yyyy zzzz into the chat, submit your message, and press C+left

xx is the acre slot (it goes from left to right, then when it reaches the end it goes up one and starts at the left again)
it can be anything from 00 to 18 (in hex). If you put something over 18, it'll do the entire town not just one acre.
yyyy is the item to search for, and zzzz is the item to replace it with.

Don't you think that maybe it would be a good idea to at least mention WiiRD.org (main location for Wii codes), Gecko (code activation program), Ocarina (code activation program), Wii Home Brew as the way codes can be used, or something? I'm not trying to be rude or be overly picky, but if someone comes onto this page without knowing those important details, then not only will they not be able to use the codes, but they'll be completely lost. I really do appreciate the work you have done here, and that done by the others. It's one of my favorite games. But since Wii codes require more preparation than other consoles do, I think it's always nice to let people know how they can get started. Thanks for these codes.

Thanks masterwriter42, i agree some formentioned information would have been nice. the only reason i know of WIIrd.org is because it was mentioned on the IRC channel last night. if this had been posted last week i would have been lost.

I completely agree! Even beyond the increasing need to spread the word about homebrew (and codes are a great way to do that) so that Nintendo will stop trying to destroy it, there's the fact that current rules on the WiiRD code message board prevent people from requesting codes, and only people who are registered to post codes can even comment on the code submission threads.
Basically, I strongly believe that this would be a great place for things like requests, discussions, public feedback (instead of having to PM code makers directly, especially when people work together on a code ), and anything else Wii code related that can't be done on WiiRD.org.

For example, in Dokapon Kingdom, I wanted to request that someone find a way, by looking at the item slot codes currently available or from scratch, to do the same thing for the field magic tab. I'm pretty sure it's possible, seeing as how it's been done with the items tab. And it's always good to be able to ask for help on the same thread as the codes are on, instead of having to search the site for a 'code support' thread for that game, if there even is one. GSHI is a more relaxed system, where as WiiRD has an obligation to maintain a stricter structure so as to provide a stable and reliable source for the 'official' codes. I visit it often, but I'd rather have more freedom to participate without a liscense, lol.

If there is somewhere else that the site would like to move or copy this message to, please feel free, since what matters most is that the facts go where they need to go, to people who need the info.

The best and most reliable place to go to for information about the Wii code creation and methods of use is http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php

But I'll explain some of the basics - the stuff I know I can describe accurately and without much risk of misunderstandings. Everyone who wishes to help with the code creation process needs to read the official instructions, and it couldn't hurt to even if you're just a gamer, but here's something to start you off. Just so everyone knows, all you need to purchase in order to do most HB on the Wii is an SD card (preferably one that does not exceed 2 Gigs, because there can be complications with some applications if you exceed that amount), a way to hook your SD card up to a computer, and the console itself.

In order to do anything Home Brew on your Wii, you obviously need a way to boot up the programs you want to use. First, I'll explain what's been the most popular method for a long time now. What I'm talking about is the 'Twilight Hack', and it requires you to at least temporarily have Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess. You can rent it, borrow it from a friend, or own a copy, it doesn't matter. You need a modified save game for this to work, so if you already have a game save, store it somewhere else (not sure if there can be more than 1 on the SD and still show up).

You can get the Twilight Hack save file from http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Twilight_Hack
WiiBrew is also one of the best places to find Home Brew applications/games/etc, and that's one play you can find the code apps I'll explain in a sec.

Follow the instructions that are either included or on the site (they have a whole tutorial) so as to set everything up. There are other ways to do homebrew, but the best way to enable those ways is to start with the TH.

Now, granted, you could just use the TH method to load all your apps, but you can only do one at a time this way, and that's a lot of juggling, frustration, and unneeded waiting. Instead, you'll probably be best of installing the Home Brew Channel, which can be found on WiiBrew as well. It's their pride and joy. To get the HBC, you'll need to use the TH method (or something else) in order to run an installation app that will place the HBC in with the other channels on the wii main menu (that you see when you turn on your console). Once that's done, you can place things in the right places, in the way that instructions for each app specify.

Now for the good part. Code-related applications usually come in two different forms, for people who are using the codes and not making them. There are Code Manager (aka CM) programs (which are usually called exactly Code Manager, or something close), which allow you to choose which codes for which games you want to use (and you have to put the codes for one game in one .txt file, and stick that in a location specified by the CM you're using) and save them to a Cheat format (basically, converts them to a unique format that the next programs can use), and then there are Code Activators (that's just what I'm choosing to call them, the official name is probably something else but I don't know what).

Code activating programs can do different things. There's one on WiiBrew called Ocarina, which is only for activating the codes and starting the game, no bells or whistles. Then there's Gecko, and it's various versions and a couple variations. Gecko is very usefull for both code users and code creators, because it has features that are required for some codes and aren't currently a part of Ocarina, and because it has debug, testing, and other features for code creators.

That's the free stuff. The stuff required to make the codes is a different story. I don't know all the details, you'll have to look into the things on the WiiRD website. But I think there is at least one program out there for code creation that doesn't require the hardware they sell. In any case, I don't really know much of anything about the Wii attachment required for making codes, so I'll just leave it at that.

Hopefully all that helps, and hopefully I'm not forgetting some key thing I intended to put in there. Those links are fresh, I went to the sites and copied the URL, and they are the best places for their specific uses. Again, codes so far are only or mostly on WiiRD's code database and forum.
Good luck, and let me know if there's anything specific you want to know that I didn't mention, and I'll see what I can do. Wow, that was a longer message than I thought it would be

              Respectfully yours,
              Masterwriter42

Also, until recently, codes for the Wii only supported games that came on disks, not ones purchased from the Wii Shop Channel. However, the most recent version of Gecko are set up to handle codes for Channel based things (mostly stuff bought on the Wii Shop Channel). That means that Virtual Console and WiiWare games can now have codes, too, but there wasn't much of a selection when it comes to those codes, last time I checked. They work hard at WiiRD, but I assume they can't make codes for a game they don't own or can't access. I don't think there's anything to stop GSHI from hosting it's own codes for Wii games, so long as there's some way for people to find where they need to go to find out about the required actions/stuff. But it might be a good idea for someone in management to go on over and discuss things with those who manage WiiRD. But again, I wouldn't know.

dragonboy269: Thanks; those codes have been added to the database

masterwriter42: Nope, there's no issue with GSHI hosting/hacking Wii games. Also, I spoke with Link; he's a nice guy. We'll probably do some collaborative work in the future; I suppose we should see if they're interested in being a part of Concord.

I'm going to pick up a USB Gecko and do some Wii hacking when I get around to it. It looks like a decent system, and I've been starved for one for some time.

I'm going to add your tentative guide to the Library for now (let me know if you'd like me to add/remove/edit anything), along with a couple of others. Thanks for the input

                    Great!

Happy to be of service. Let me know if there's anything else you'd like me to add.

I'm glad to hear that everything is turning out well. Yes, Link is a very kind and helpful person, and I'm sure that these two sites can form a very strong and mutually beneficial alliance. After all, the Wii section of this site can act like a sort of home away from home and breeding ground for codes and code suggestions.

From what I hear, the USB Gecko is a reliable and worth while investment for anyone who's interested in writing codes. Maybe you could do a review somewhere, maybe get some more people interested in both sites

Well, I've found some interesting results by modifying codes for other games, so when they show up here, I'll be sure to post my findings. Thanks for including me in the Library, and hopefully I'll come up with something else of use at some point.

Yes; we're quite open to as many requests as people would like to make, and so we can fill that void at the very least.

Hopefully we can get this Wii scene going strong

Hey, here's an idea. If they haven't already, maybe USBGecko could post a memo about GSHI, and reciprocally here.

Sorry for disappearing off the face of the earth (or at least off of the Wii hacking scene)
I took a break for a few months, started hacking Nintendo DS again, and totally forgot how to make Wii codes >_> (can you believe I made my very first code ever in February? O_o)

I understand a lot more now, and hopefully I'll get a USBGecko soon (I used to be stuck using addresses that others have found, then compiling them into an ASM code)
I only hack games that I like >:I
And I ONLY use assembly O_o XD

                            dragonboy269, welcome back!
I wonder if DS codes are easier to deal with than Wii codes. If you become active in the Wii code communities, maybe you could join the efforts of making channel/wiiware/vc codes work with Gecko on the latest versions of the IOS's out there. I've seen the long list of things I'd have to do to downgrade my system for it to comprehend the codes without giving me an error screen instead of working. I'd rather wait for an update that lets me do it without losing all the HackMii upgrading I've been doing.

I'd love to see a code for this game that lets you actually 'jump' without all the hassle involved when using the two codes currently required to achieve that effect. Currently, you have to use one code that shifts you up and down on the Y axis, and a separate one that lets you walk on top of things. With those current ones, it's beyond a pain in the neck trying to get back to planet earth after you've stepped up on top of something that's taller than a character, and I miss the ease with which we could jump in the original AC for the Gamecube. If anyone could concoct some genius method to simply press a button and have the character rise up, and when you let go, it goes back down (and allow for walking on/floating over things, then that would so totally rock!

Another idea: How about any other hidden data revolving around the character customization aspects? I'm of course referencing the fact that the 'emotion' system (the actions you learn at the theater in the city) also includes a strange hidden one called "Close" that only briefly (one second or so, maybe less) puts your character into the contemplative pose they go into when you open your inventory - which isn't too useful, but cool because it's something that wasn't intended to be accessed. I like that rebel attitude in a code list, walking through walls and having things you shouldn't is just so awesome and gives some extra stuff to do if you get bored of the beaten path (not that it's the 'beaten path' kind of game).

That code was actually already made before the other Moon Jump code was made (by Virus of game-hackers.com)
It's shorter than the original too

                              Code:
                              Codes by Virus:

                              Moon Jump (Hold B)
                              Code:

                              04E9D054 40A00000
                              286DFC80 FBFF0400
                              04E9D054 C0000000
                              E0000000 80008000

If you don't like the speed you're falling at (too fast),
replace the first line with: 04E9D054 40000000

If you don't like the speed you're rising at (too slow),
replace the third line with: 04E9D054 C0A00000

You can also experiment with the values until you find a speed you like.
                              These are floating-point values!
