  • Nintendo DS hacking?

I know well there is all this software in the DS to prevent hacking, but www.codejunkies.com gave me an idea, they have managed to hack certain saves to give certain advantages. For example in Super Mario 64 DS, you can start with 153 stars, even though it is only possible to get 150 by normal means. Therefore, I believe it possible to hack this system with certain software/hardware.
This leads me to another question: When a DS emulator comes out with roms, is it possible to hack those?

Is there really software preventing people from hacking?

Well, I've heard that there is a certain flash device that lets you both run roms off an SD card and also hack them... But I don't really remember the details. If there was an emulator, it'd be easy to hack games that way. Of course, there are already DS roms around...

Really, DS roms? Excuse, I have some looking to do. Who knows? I might be able to hack a game using art money. Thank you for that information.

I actually say some codes for Castlevania for DS. I know it involves a flash card so it's pretty much an emulation only thing. Hopefully GSHI or some other company hops into the cheat device making buisines someday so we can have a real cheat device for some next gen systems.

I've found out that there are several emulators for DS. Except for the one that leaked out of Nintendo, I'm guessing the others don't work very well. If the existing emulators don't have any plans for cheat support, it might suck trying to hack usable codes without hardware.

Even though the one leaked out of nintendo stinks, there is hope!

Looks like DS hacking might take off pretty soon. Now if there was a normal sold in stores type cheat device... Not that it really matters, as I know people will be wanting codes hacked as soon as there's a way to do that and also use them. Especially for emulators...

Well, the only cheat device is Dipstar 3.5.0.0, and it's pretty tight. The codes are made using the Ideas Emulator 1.8.0.8c with a debugging plugin. Theres some example stuff at the CMP

Sucks, I can't even try emulating DS games. I can barely even do GBA at the moment... Bleh, even when I do finally get ahold of the computer I'm getting, it won't be able to do much better than what I've already been dealing with.
