    Dear dlevere,

You are receiving this email because you are a registered user of CheatScapes.com and we have important information regarding the site to share with you.

CheatScapes to Close on November 15, 2013

CheatScapes was created in early 2010 as a way for talented programmers to earn some well-deserved income for the trainers they were creating while at the same time providing the end user with a place to purchase individual trainers that were virus-free and professionally made. Over the course of three years, CheatScapes sold trainers to over 33,000 users, bringing over $196,000.00 in revenue to authors that otherwise may not have been paid for their work.

Over the last three years the PC gaming landscape has changed. Gone are the days of games being released in a finished state. Games now require patch after patch in order to fix bugs and add content that should have been there from the beginning. Some games are being patched more than 30 times within the first several months of release. This has put a tremendous burden on trainer makers as it takes considerable time to update trainers for each and every patch, especially when game developers re-write or change significant portions of the game over and over again.

Customers expect updated trainers as distribution platforms such as Steam force these patches upon end users without notice or warning. The price of a single trainer, even with update protection, no longer covers the costs of maintaining it over time and end-users do not wish to pay more or purchase the same trainer multiple times with each patch that is released.

This particular business model is no longer viable as author support has been in decline over the last 6-12 months. It's just not fair to the customers to continue selling trainers that may or may not be supported as new patches are released. It is for this reason that we have chosen to shut down CheatScapes.com on November 15, 2013.

Trainers that have been purchased and downloaded will continue to authenticate for the foreseeable future. However, after this date it will no longer be possible to re-download purchased trainers. It is recommended that all users download and make a backup of all purchased trainers before November 15, 2013.

Those looking for a safe and viable alternative to CheatScapes should check out CheatHappens.com.

Cheat Happens has been providing cheats and trainers for over 12 years and is owned by Dingo WebWorks, LLC, the same parent company as CheatScapes.com. Cheat Happens has a dedicated staff of full-time programmers that create and update up to 200 trainers per month. Rather than purchasing trainers individually, a membership is used for full access to the entire library of custom-made trainers and updates.

By employing multiple full-time programmers located in different parts of the world, trainers and updates are published timely, usually less than 12 hours after the game or patch has been made available to the general public. Some of the same programmers that released trainers at CheatScapes now work for Cheat Happens.

A special PROMO code has been created for CheatScapes customers wishing to purchase a yearly membership to Cheat Happens. During the membership purchase process, type in promo code CHEATSCAPES25 to automatically save 25% (or $12.45) off the cost of a yearly membership.

We sincerely appreciate all authors and customers that have supported CheatScapes over the last 3 years. We have enjoyed serving you and hope to see some of you join our Cheat Happens community.
