What's about game like Gemfire?

I don't hack Genesis and even if I did, my starting price for all of those damn codes is $100 USD.

You don't have to ask for money, you could do it for free. Also to the one requesting the codes could you post perhaps a save for each game with many characters so I can tackle it all in one shot.

Hehe not so easy hence the reason to pay for them. These RPG Maker games change addresses everytime you load a save so I'm trying to do pointer codes, hopefully I can crack it.

Edit: Ok I give up on this game or any rpg maker style game, I went 8 pointers deep and it still changed after I loaded a new save. Best advice I can give you to hack the Current HP as that seems like the only stat easy to find and also the EXP as these use the same formula you mentioned (value in decimal * 2 + 1)

I did hack codes for it recently and on the saturn too which I havent posted yet, but Pyriel who was the code author in that link you posted is a member here too so why not try to contact him since he seems very familiar with the games programming.
