*PMU stands for Pokemon Mystery Universe, an online Pokemon Mystery Dungeon fangame.
The currently existing version of that game is filled with trolls and corrupt staff who let the trolls keep trolling. And then they focus their attention on punishing "obnoxious individuals" such as myself who make a stink about the trolls, and they even muted me for harassing one of these trolls. Seriously...?! I was simply showing that particular player what it feels like to be trolled, so she wouldn't resort to such tactics in the future. I went about it the wrong way, sure, but still--nothing was ever done to that other player (whose name I shall withhold for privacy reasons).
Therefore, I simply deleted my entire account on that server (not just my characters--the WHOLE THING), and am now going to build my own server from scratch, and eventually update it to PMU7 standards. And then...directly compete with PMU7 for their players. They don't deserve the kind of environment they have to endure on that server. I aim to have a much more player-friendly environment on my server, so trolling WILL NOT be tolerated.
PMU7 has problems where the staff are frequently not online, and even when they are, they often do nothing about trolls. (Possibly because they may be trolls themselves.) I hated not having any sort of ability to mute/ignore trolls on that site.
I even have a Skype account, and may consider recruiting players and staff from there. A lot of PMU players use Skype, so that might be my first option.
And, any help I can get with setting this server up and running it would be greatly appreciated.
