Could any one explain me please how do I properly use GBATM?

I am scratching my head here, I copy and pasted some codes for minish cap in this format:

Name
xxxxx xxx

but turning them ON or pressing L+R+A does not works.

Any tutorials available on this?

Ok, so for example, from here this code would work:

No celling collitions
D0000020 0200
32000F22 0001

It's Codebreaker/GS and decrypted.

Would that work or do I need to convert it to a different thing?

yes it should,use the image posted above for guidance but make sure the Trainer Menu checkbox is filled in(checked)
I would also change the Execute Every box to a 255(thats what i do)
I will add a screen of my usual settings+a cht file i put together fo minish cap for the OP
simply press the load cheat file button and select the .txt file.select your rom in the first box.then select a new name for the patched rom in the second box.then make sure the settings are like mine in the attached image.then hit the patch game! button

oh and keep in mind that some games seem to lock up with a trainer on them(zoids:legacy is one that i know of)just experiment to find out which ones work and which do not
