    It's not breaking news, but I found this pretty cool:

    I've only seen a few good NES ROM hacks, and this is definitely one of them.

    Dahrk Daiz made that hack. He was working on a sequel but something happened to his rom and he didn't have a too recent backup. He pretty much quit owrking on it I believe. It sounded like it was gonna be awesome too, there was gonna be 28 or more powerups you could choose from.

            It seems like an entire game, so I'm guessing it's the same length as Super Mario Brothers 3...

            It's decently difficult, and coins no longer add up tp 100 to give you a life. Instead, you save hundreds of coins, and use them to "buy" a random item at the little mushroom places. It's pretty sweet. From what I can see, you never run out of lives. Many other things, including random weather, have been implemented.

                From what I know, the sequel was cancelled. The original was finished.
