  • Jewel Quest Solitaire trainer required

    Hello,

I know I'm new here but I was wondering as a last resort whether anyone could help with this issue. The difficulty of Jewel Quest Solitaire for PC is really hard, almost impossible due to the random nature of what cards you get. See the complaints on Big Fish Games website for further reference.

The sequels don't have this problem as you can skip levels and also the difficulty is easier. I was just wondering whether it would be possible to create a trainer or patch to help skip the more impossible levels as some people have spent 6 years stuck on one level. Any help would be most appreciated as there are no cheats, nothing for this game. No walkthroughs of people completing the game even exist due to the game being impossible. I am trying to use Cheat Engine to help skip levels however while it's easy to change existing values like ammo, lives, money, etc I'm not sure how to use it to skip or automatically complete levels so I can progress. Please can someone help me through this site?

    Kind Regards

    Pedro

The version of the game I'm playing is version 1.07. If there are any queries about the actual game please let me know and I will answer them.

I'm pretty sure digital distribution games are allowed as long as they are offline single player games (Solitaire is a single player game to begin with). Being "Digitally Distributed" is just an alternate way of distribution outside of owning a physical copy (unless your referring to "pirated" games).

        Description of the game:

The creative minds behind Jewel Quest return with a Solitaire card game filled with riches and adventure.

Play Tri-peaks Solitaire in a new way using jewel-themed card decks. Match card suits to earn pieces for the jewel board then turn the board's spaces to gold. Unearth buried cards, avoid cursed jewels, and solve the 114 card layouts on a South American jungle trek. Experience 684 possible card scenarios through an exciting new Jewel Quest story.

Embark on your card playing adventure in Jewel Quest Solitaire. Riches and glory are in the cards!
I've found no mention of this game being tied to online ranking or anything other multiplayer aspects for that matter. A downloadable demo is available, along with options to purchase the full game included on both the site and in the demo. I would watch out however, as my scan of this demo installer file detected the existence of "PUP.Optional.Iwin", which will have to be avoided when installing the game (otherwise it is a lengthy process to remove the unwanted software package).
Not taking any requests at this time.

Universal Extractor does a good job of extracting most exe files so you can avoid that crap.

Sorry if this game doesn't make the requirements but don't know where else to go. I'd use Cheat Engine but need tutorial on how to skip levels by changing the value because there's no tutorial for skipping levels on their site help. If one of you guys could create a trainer that doesn't complete the level with a tap of the trainer button it would be most appreciated. I really would like to complete this game in time for Christmas as been stuck on it for ages. Progress is so slow and I don't like ti leave games unfinished.

By the way just to confirm these games are digital downloads but can be bought through retail releases as well so they are full commercial releases. They don't require steam or DRM to play. As mentioned before sequels have either a cheat or trainer option so you can't really get stuck. However no one has made a trainer for the first Jewel Quest Solitaire game so everyone has been stuck for years. Also like to add that my version 1.07 was a retail release from Amazon and not part of a compilation as first thought.

                Code:
                [B][COLOR="#0000FF"]Jewel Quest Solitaire v1.07 [PC][/COLOR][/B]

                Finish Level In One Move

This requires you to have Cheat Engine, and to attach to the running process "Jewel Quest Solitaire.exe" (you may see 2 of them, in that case choose the second one). Check the checkbox, then make a valid card move within the game (either take one from the stock deck or place a valid card on the pile). This should work in both modes of play. I may look at this game some more this evening, but for now this alone should get you through the game. Let me know how it works for you.

I just would like the answer to two questions:

                    1) How did you go about finding out how to complete levels automatically using cheat engine? Just wanted to know for any other games.

                    2) It would be cool to distribute this in some way. Perhaps I could link people to this forum or thread?

                      1) I did decreasing 4 byte searches while removing cards from the play area. Once I found the address tracking cards left in play, I then used a "Find out what accesses this address" when moving cards around. There was a check (shared between moving cards from play to the pile, and from the stock deck to the pile) to see if the game should continue based on the amount of cards still in play, and if not then to finish the game. I forced the check so say there are no more cards in play (ASM), and once modified, the game ends with a win.

                      2) Do what you wish with it, though linking back here may be more beneficial for gamehacking.org's site traffic. All I ask is that you credit me for my work in whichever option you choose. Enjoy.

Thanks! I'm not too sure how taxing this was for you to do but it really stumped me. I know you probably like working on normal proper PC games so I really appreciate you taking the time to finally put together a trainer patch for this casual 2006 game. By the way I planned to forward this e-mail thread to the game specific forums on Big Fish Games and IWin website. Don't worry I will credit you.
