Twenty six years ago Enix released the third installment to their hugely popular Dragon Quest series on the Nintendo Famicom. Although seeing release in North America, Dragon Quest III like many of the other earlier titles skipped out on a European release. As of today, European gamers can finally set out on this vintage adventure thanks to the all new iOS and Android ports.
While the popularity of Dragon Quest may be hard to comprehend over here, the series has not only sold millions of copies worldwide, but also reportedly been the reason behind so many school truancies upon release. And quite rightly so. As many RPG fans will tell you today, the Dragon Quest series is one any fans of the genre must play through for its detailed story lines and familiar combat system.
This all new port of Dragon Quest III follows the same lead as both its touchscreen predecessors - Dragon Quest I and Dragon Quest II - providing updated visuals, controls, and audio. Although the £6.99 price-tag may sway some gamers the wrong way, this is one title you’ll be playing for hours to come.
