  • Snes9x Bug

I discovered a new bug for Snes9x 1.53 32bit and 64bit versions, when you install it Snes9x ends up in the "Open With" Program it can only be removed if you delete Snes9x. When it's stuck in Open With, transforms other files into Snes9x.

Is there a version of Snes9x that does not appear in the "open With" program when installed and does not glitch other files?.

I don't know what you downloaded, but snes9x is not installable. You just unzip the exe on a folder and that's it.

Maybe you downloaded a trojan or virus.

Use one of these versions instead:

I've scanned Snes9x 1.53 and no trojan or virus was confirmed, I got this from the Snes9x website.

Well, again, I don't know what you downloaded, but snes9x is not installable. Maybe you downloaded the source or something.

This is how you check if Snes9x 1.53 end up in the "Open With" Program.

first go to an Snes game thats zipped then right click then you check "Open With" then you would see it's in that program.

The Creators of Snes9x never fixed that.

I don't use 1.53, I use the versions I linked, which are much better.

I tired it once, and it didn't have the options and features snes9x-rr has. So I deleted it and kept using the -rr version I linked.

Update Demonic722, I was wrong about Snes9x. I check my "Open With" Programs and Snes9x was not there it appears the Emulator just suggests it according to what a person told me.

It appears i was panicking for nothing.

I saw that you wanted this thread deleted. By policy decreed by a Bastard of Lazyness this will not be deleted. It has good information.

ReyVGM there are a few "clean" SNES9X installers out there that associate snes roms with the program, same goes with zsnes. i dont remember if 1.53 was one but i have come across some. Also there is a snes9x installer that allows for a portable emulator with no registry settins saved and is designed for flash drive use.

Cant stand the 32 bit and above gaming.

How so?, this topic became pointless because I thought Snes9x glitched bios but the whole time all the bios remained normal.

That sounds alot like what I have, ok so it's an installer that associates snes roms with the program Snes9x.

I'm now fine with that and when checking out my emulator bios those are perfectly normal. It appears the bios from other emulators are normal just like what Demonic722 told me how his were unchanged.
