What debug menu?

Syphon Filter

To access the cheat menu, first enter the Cheat Device code.

Then go to the options menu in the game and highlight objectives.
Now press L1+R1, left, down, L1+R1, left to access the menu.

As for Syphon Filter 2 and 3, the codes are in one of my 4 GameSharks, I'll have to find them.

I hacked a debug menu GameShark code for Syphon Filter 2, but the problem that I had was it needed an activator, because it was turned on all of the time, and I never got around to it.

I don't have my PSX hooked up. It's been awhile, but I believe it's the debug menu.

All Objectives Complete, Resurrect Gabriel, Level Select, End Level, Have All Weapons, etc.

Let's take a step back here. I observed that GS code and it looks to just unlock all of the button cheats (the same code is available for 2 and 3 in the database). Those other cheats are probably unlockable via a button cheat. I was trying to locate them for 2 and 3 (no success yet).

They aren't the same button cheats in the other two games. I'm going to find the GameShark code for the Syphon Filter 2 debug menu and post it later on today.

I know. I'm just saying that this could be the Cheats menu fully unlocked. I'll post a pic of it from the demo version (I don't have the retail disc with me at the moment).

A tip to those hacking demos: the games with an RP rating, are usually the ones with big differences. This applies to PS1/2 games. I can't speak for those on other systems.

Syphon Filter 2 Button Cheats

All button cheats submitted by: IGN_Cheats

Air Taser

Pause. Highlight "weaponry", then hold L2 and R2, and then press SQUARE 5 times, X 10 times.

Get Most Regular Weapons

Pause. Highlight "weaponry", then press L2, R2, L1, R1, TRIANGLE, CIRCLE, X.

Get More Secret Weapons

Pause. Highlight "weaponry", then hold L1 and press CIRCLE, X, X, START, X, L1, CIRCLE.

Ride Army Truck

Go up to an army truck's door, hold L1, R1, L2, and R2, and then press X 10 times and TRIANGLE 10 times.

Secret Weapon Code

Pause, highlight "weaponry" and hold L1, and then press CIRCLE, CIRCLE, X, TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE, R2, SELECT, SQUARE.

Extra Character Code

Pause, highlight "objectives" and hold R2, and then press L1, CIRCLE, CIRCLE, X, X, X.

Enemies Ignore You

Pause, highlight "objectives" and then press X, X, X, X, X, TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE.

Skip The Level

Pause the game and highlight the "Map" option. Press and hold:

Right + L2 + R2 + Circle + Square + X

A sound will confirm correct code entry. Enter the options screen and select "Cheats".

Level Select

Pause the game, highlight the "Map" option, then hold

Right + L2 + R2 + Circle + Square + X (simultaneously).

Then, enter the options screen and choose the "Cheats" selection.

Super Agent mode

Pause game play and highlight the "Weaponry" option. Then hold:

Select + L2 + Circle + Square + X (in that order).

A sound will confirm correct code entry. Enter the options screen and select "Cheats".
Super Agent mode allows enemies that have flak jackets to be killed with a single shot.

Syphon Filter 3 Button Cheats

Some of those codes are fake (Ride Army Truck ). The Neoseeker cheats section should be approached with caution. You'll be entering some fake, crazy combinations that do nothing. The cheat descriptions given for them are pure gold, too. GameFAQs and GameWinners are the better sources (use IGN and the rest as a backup). They correct and remove false codes ASAP (I can vouch for GameWinners).

I'll post the code for the demo disc soon.

This is the code for the NTSC demo disc (SCUS 94362). To find this and the other menu modifiers, do a search for 07090a0b0603. The byte with the value of 3 is for the "Options" menu. The rest are as follows (if nothing changed in the final):

This was interesting to see in the demo. I selected the "To Second Zoom Point" option in the first level, and it loaded that background.
