        The cheat function support Genesis RAM only
        not SegaCD RAM or 32X RAM

          MD.emu for Android devices can use this too.

          Side note, I'm amazed and glad to see interest in hacking codes for Sega CD games is coming to fruition.

            Its a shame not many emulators support cheat searching or even code usage for the SegaCD. I tried MESS for searching and always came up with 0 results which is odd since I can search in all the other emulators and always find some kind of results.

              Yeah, I was fortunate. Steve Snake, upon my request, compiled me a Kega build without the "nags" regarding cheating when playing a Sega CD game. Thus, I was able to use Kega's cheat search to find codes for Sonic CD and a few others (sadly, misplaced those other codes). Most sadly I lost that Kega build due to a dead hard drive 2 years ago. =(

              From what I remember with my discussions with Snake regarding this, he didn't know exactly how to approach cheating in Sega CD games due to the SCD word RAM stuff or something like that, can't exactly remember. Perhaps when he starts developing Kega again after dealing with real life he might be willing to allow it since other emulators do now?

                    What about the Bizhawk emulator that plays a lot of consoles and it's the one TASvideos uses for their speedruns?
                    Apparently it runs Sega CD and it has a good cheat search option.

                      the built-in search option in most emulators searches in the Genesis' RAM only not SegaCD RAM or 32X RAM as I stated in post#4.
