I'm not against pics, I just thought he's going through so much work putting pics when no one, except the few who are here, will see them once the codes are posted. Now, if the code pages themselves had pics, then that would be great.

Back then, when GSCentral was the only code site, Rune wanted to partner with VGM so that he could put screenshots on all the code pages. It never got anywhere because that was around the time the meltdown happened over there. Such thing would be great if it was implemented here though.

Also, I don't condone hotlinking. It's evil, lame and lazy. Hotlinking is exactly the same thing as someone taking the codes from this page, having them on their page and never giving proper credit. Except that in this situation, you are also stealing their bandwidth.

And I should hate GF's, because all the evil, lame and lazy users there steal pics from my site and post them there. So basically DukeOdin is behaving like one of them and I don't agree with that. Regardless if it's done to my site or another place.

While this is true, if they didn't want people to hotlink to them there would be a hotlinking message replacing his images. Something like "Please don't Hotlink", "We keel you if you hotlink." "Please save the whal...errr bandwidth".

UMADBRO? Seriously we are all here to hack codes not worry about the bandwidth we are dragging from a site that apparently doesn't care if we do so. If your going to quit the scene over this then I guess it's your decision (but if you even brought it up you were close to quitting anyway regardless).

I'm sure if GF didn't want him to hotlink there would be measures in place to prevent it. Unless he is directly hotlinking from your site which in turn is costing you money per month I don't see the point in this argument.

This is one of my favorite games for NES. With your "Untouchable" PAR code the player is blinking and invincible, but only for enemies and fires. When you touch a spikes, he still lose all his health and die instantly. You can make code that makes the player invincible against spikes?

From my understanding he was hotlinking them from GF, so at that point they are open to the public and are no longer "yours". I may have missed a watermark on the images (is there one?) but after you release anything whether it be codes, pics, etc to the internet unless copyrighted there is no valid point in claiming them as your own (The same applies with codes. You can only ask for credit since your code is not yours but owned by whoever developed the game since the code is copyrighted as a literary work. You just happened to find the code and are credited with the discovery.). Now if you wanted him to give credit to your pictures you could have just asked him to make mention that these shots were created by ReyVGM and possibly post link back to a site of yours.

I do see why you are upset, and agree with your point wholeheartedly but there is no reason to make an argument over something that could have been settled in a private discussion with DukeOden through the PM system of this site.
