Let me hijack this thread for a bit and ask something.
I'm going to start playing Saturn games now, and I'm going to use bizhawk (which uses the yabause core). With bizhawk I'll make codes, but how will I post them here? I as in, in what format?
For example, with PSX codes, bizhawk gives you this: 012345 0000. I know that when I post them here I have to add a 30 or 80, like this: 80012345 0000
So with saturn, I assume I'll get 'raw' codes with bizhawk, so what do I need to add to make it a Gameshark or action replay (or whatever cheat devide the saturn had, not really familiar with saturn at all)?
Anyway, yes, I used the bypass codes (and there's even a patch you can put into the disc image), and they're the only ones that work on the console. I can't seem to use any other code with 'em. Sometimes when I do, the the message comes out all glitchy like it's trying to get them to work. They work fine on SSF with the help of the right programs (well, except maybe the Max EXP, which makes me unable to level up from how I used it), it's just with the actual system.
So in an unpatched game using the code gets rid of the message right? But actual codes stop working? Might have check the master code and see if it's actually being called in game and if not then we might need to look at an alternative master code but from my experience with one other game that has a similar situation there is no master code possible.
I pretty much assumed it was required to get rid of the message, which I still get if
I enter any activate any other codes with it (the main reason they work on SSF is that there's no cartridge actually inserted). I already checked multiple websites like this one to make sure I'm using the right master code: http://www.panzerdragoonlegacy.com/a...n-replay-codes
Hey Helder, are you still making Saturn codes? I have a request, because I couldn't do it myself.
It's for Sega Rally Championship (USA). A code to always be first, and/or a code to go at high speeds. I think the max a car can go is 150mph, hopefully there's an address that allows higher speeds than that. There's a similar code in the database, but I don't really see any speed increase and modifying the values just makes the car go crazy or backwards.
This game like many that people have a hard time playing don't work properly in MESS I can't even get into a god damn race. On Yabause the cheat search blows monkey balls hard core and the only thing I could find for the position code is this 060B00B6 which freezes the game as soon as you change the value to a new one but makes changes to the actual position you see.
I'm going to try something else to see if I can find the speed code but if nothing works well then I can't do shit for you on this game. After the damn SH2 block being dumped you would think these emulators would implement the necessary updates to make the games more compatible.
Darn. SSF has almost perfect compatibility, but no cheat search unfortunately. By the way, Bizhawk has a good cheat search (same one used on snes9x, and fceux). I know it's not as advanced as you would like, but it's better than the one Yabause uses.
Hopefully you'll at least be able to find the speed code.
Got the speed codes but it comes with a quirk, you can't stop or slow down unless you hit something. It's like the thing is in auto drive but all cars go fast and do 155mph max speed so long as you can control the car (good luck).
