  • ReyVGM Saturn codes

    Ok, here's my first Saturn code. How do I convert it to a format the site uses? (Lee, help.)
    I made the code with Bizhawk, the address was in the Work Ram High domain.

    Hyper Duel

    Invincibility
    0C2988 0005

    *edit*
    Ok, I 'converted' it to

    300C2988 0005 and 800C2988 0500 and both worked on SSF with CEP. Am I missing something?

    XYZZZZZZ VVvv
    X= 3= vv, 1= VVvv
    Y= Low RAM=2 High RAM=6
    ZZZZZZ= Address
    VVvv= value

    Invincibility
    360C2988 0005

    NEVER use CEP or PEC they are outdate and inaccurate
    you should be use artmoney instead
    those are ps1 codetypes not saturn codetypes
    this is why I need you post codes on forum first

    just use the full standalone version of yabause.

      Yabause doesn't load for me, so I use bizhawk to make cheats.

      I only use CEP to be able to use codes with SSF, since all the other Saturn emulators have deficient compatibility. So I'm pretty much stuck with SSF and CEP to use cheats, and bizhawk to create the cheats.

      I don't understand the X= 3= vv, 1= VVvv part. How do I know when a code should start with 3 then? Or do they all start with 3?

        ArtMoney is better than CEP

        Did you setup Yabause v0.9.14 QT like this
        http://gamehacking.org/vb/threads/13778-how-to-setup-yabause-101

        funny I can't get bizhawk's Yabause to run its throws me alots of errors

        why you do not understand about codetype?
        http://gamehacking.org/wiki/Code_Types_(Sega_Saturn)

        first digit part of address is always codetype

          Yep, everything is set correctly. But I get an error every time I load a game.

          Yes I know the first digit is the codetype, but I can never recognize correctly which is the codetype I need to use. I don't know much about codes or types. I only make codes so I can finish games faster, and I post the codes here because they will probably be useful to other people. In other words, I don't really like making codes, I just do them because hate begging for codes :P

              I got the new yabause working by using daemon's tools. Apparently when I load a bin/cue, the emu crashes. Same bin/cue doesn't crash on SSF or Bizhawk.

              Anyway, the same games that are unplayable on Bizhawk and old Yabause (Sonic R, Hexen, and others) are still unplayable in new Yabause. Also, some games have missing effects. So I still have to stick with SSF because of that.

              But anyways, thanks for the help Lee. I just will post the raw codes here and not post them on the site.

                I have opposite, its crash on Bizhawk not Yabause for bin/cue

                "some" graphics problem are fixed in the Yabause build I linked to not official build.
                official build are broken.
                I do agree SSF runs games fine.

                  I assume the code will be 360709BA 0009 for the site.

                    If the address was in the Work Ram High domain, then yes.

                    You also test your code in Yabause if possible

For example, the Gold code is "160848F0", if you subtract 2BC from it, you'll get "16084634" and that code should give you Infinite Gold in Blazing Heroes.

                              Messing up? I organized that page, is what you probably mean.

                              I added the hex numbers you need to subtract from the codes to get the Blazing Heroes codes, but I wasn't going to convert all of them. I just left the information for whoever wants to do it since both games are the same. There's no harm in that.
