  • Street Fighter Series Codes

    A quick thread for these hacks. Just something I've been working on over the months, before my hiatus took effect (no current hacking still). I usually don't have my controller with me, but a keyboard always. So, I went and found a way to make the specials easier to do (I'm aware of the "Easy" setting but I like challenges). Enjoy!

    Note: This is the most recent edit of my notes for the games. I know it's possible for Street Fighter: The Movie, but I seemed to have misplaced the info with the RAM locations.

      Can these Super Combos be performed without a full super bar? and what about regular specials being mapped to some button as well? Nice codes by the way and I really feel like playing these games now.

        Yes, to both questions. Thanks! I have the PS2 games on my to-do list still (3rd Strike has an ASM hack, IIRC).

          Reminds me of when I found the move modifier for KI/KI2 arcade/snes lol. I would have never guessed the Street Fighter games would have had something similar. Now to find something like this in the MK series (I really do doubt such a thing exists in the 2D games...) Good job!

            I've tried the MK games over the years, but to no avail. The Tekken series would benefit nicely from these types of hacks, too (gamersin was trying to do so, IIRC). Also, I refound the Street Fighter: The Movie addresses. I need to work out what controls what again.

                I added the "Apocalypse Special Modifier" codes for X-Men vs. Street Fighter. His two "clamp" moves are different than the ones found in the Arcade version of Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter (they're not present in the PS1 version): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRyNHkbFRwc

                Those "?" animations are weird and incomplete. One of them might be the unused "Bug Forcefield": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7Pc2Fpr7dk

                An ASM hack might be the best choice for the Street Fighter: The Movie codes. More on this game another time.
