Hi, Hybrid!

I have tried & tried to find a "No Random Battles" code for PS1 FF VII that works on an emu without glitching the game, but no go. I stared at & copied numbers till I was dizzy for several hours several days. I tried finding the 'normal' state when the chars are walking around with no random battles, as well as the state when a battle is initiated. The codes I found froze the game when a built-in battle, such as with the Scorpion in the first reactor is initiated. Nolberto tried to find such codes, but they glitched also, and he's a 'WAY better hacker than I. (My isos are clean & work perfectly otherwise.)

Also, does anyone know if there are any FF VII "Greatest Hits Version" isos out there?

what i can tell you about the NRB codes is they are usually built on a counter ie how many steps you taken or counting down from a certain number the ff7 i have is the GH edition

after re hacking the already known NRB code it plain to see that its an emulator matter so i cannot help you with a new code, but have you tried maybe an off on code for it?

Well, thanx for trying! Guess the emus just aren't compatible for such a code for this game, same as the "stop timer" codes glitch the game also, while all those codes work with a real PS1/GS.

When trying to enter a town or vehicle on the World map (Can't do)

When entering a scheduled battle, such as "entertaining" Dio to obtain the keystone(game freezes)

Same when using Joker commands. Seems if the code is used, the glitch effect is permanent until the game is reset. (Doesn't affect saves made before using the code)

thats a broad spectrum of errors
thats why i would rather play on hardware. seeing as joker codes won't work it , i can't figure a walk aroud it involved joker codes

I have time to go into detail now. Seems that when running FF VII on either PCSXR or EPSXE, the same probs with the same codes exist. For example, 8007173C0000 worx fine in areas other than the world map until entering a built-in battle. When I tried to battle in the Gold Saucer arena to get the Keystone from Dio, the game froze. This happened even when the code was disabled with a Joker command. (I know the Joker command was working.) However, the code had no effect on other scheduled battles such as Cloud vs. the shinra guards at the beginning of the game, or against the Scorpion in the first reactor. And once the code is used, the glitch remains for that whole gaming session, even after it's disabled. (However, it does not affect any saves made before the code was used.)

And with the "No Random Battles" code 8011627C0000 for the World Map, once it was used, my party could not re-enter any vehicle it'd exited, nor enter most towns, even with the code disabled.

Must be an emu issue I can't find, maybe one that can't be resolved, as both those codes work perfectly and glitch-free on a real PS1 & cheat device. There are a few other codes with similar issues on those emus, that also work perfectly on real hardware, but I thought I'd mention the ones above to you who are better hackers than I am, to see if it was just my lack of hacking skill, or an unsolvable emu issue.

could you possibly do this request for Test Drive 5 - make any car you choose have a fast 0-60 MPH. The Pitbull Special has 2.2MPH.
