Passed 3 days already and THERE IS NO RESPONSE ABOUT THE SPAM POSTS containing the same download link by this user! I now checked the "Miscellaneous Game Hacking" subforum and seems nobody didn't even read my report - all jonahhex's posts with his download link are still there!

I agree. I hate spammers. I'm getting sick of seeing Jonah Hex's name plastered all over that forum.

Took care of this bot and any duplicate users, in case you people don't know we don't allow duplicate registrations with the same IP address unless you notify one of the Admins of a reason why you would need 2 accounts.

Unicode, next time, if an admin doesn't see and respond to your post alerting about malicious spam, send the admins a PM. Three days is too long to have these risky and dangerous spam links be present on the forum, just waiting for some unsuspecting member to wander along and click on it, resulting in an infected computer.

I can't believe I forgot to mention this beast addon. People reporting problems when used with vbulletin 4.1.4. Earlier versions are fine though.

Why would you post something that you are currently using. I don't want to be rude but any information about this forum is ammunition for this website. I would recommend you taking this down and possibly altering some of the methods for logging in. Most forums are slapped by known exploits, extensions being one of the biggest. As for the bot situation recaptha is a great tool to combat bots. I feel like that was a great move. People who however, register accounts for a bot really can't be stopped. vbulletin uses a flood limit and you also have fairly active mods to combat the spam. I am not trying to tell you guys how to run a forum but I would like to offer my opinion about this thread.

I'm not using that mod on my vbulletin, I suggested it for use here on this site though, almost 5 years ago, lol. I don't still recommend it. Honestly though, recaptcha is pretty much already figured out by botmakers. I have a couple of different tricks that I use to stop them and replace recaptcha with an alternative method.

Like this little mod for example. People can register all they want but they can't post links if they're in a usergroup such as guests. Botters can be stopped, it may be tricky for some people to nail it but it can be done.

I don't use just any mods either. I'm very picky about deciding on mod before I use it, as a matter of fact, I only use 20. If you're confused... no, I'm not a admin/moderator here at gamehacking.org either.
