Is it? With all the downtime this sites been getting lately I wouldn't be suprised. This is one of the worst servers you guys picked in a while. Why not look into the server that romhacking.net uses cause they get alot of traffic, and only have to pay a yearly fee of only 250 or something.

Heh. I haven't noticed much downtime, aside from the original move, during which we froze everything so as to synchronize the forums and such. There have been a few DNS issues, but these weren't related to the hosting per se. I think most of these issues will dry up shortly, and our new hosting allows us some seriously nice features. Time till tell.

that is your problem not the site or the host. Also watch your mentioning of having this site hosted on the same server as GSC. this site is hosted in America while GSC is hosted in Germany (which makes it slightly immune to some American laws).

If you have a problem with accessing the site post a message here, just don't mention GSC you you will get flamed.

I also am not saying GSC is a banned name and that you or your post will be edited. that would be stopping to Rune's level. Tread carefully.

If the admin didn't get mad then I don't see the need to worry about my use of the term in this instance.

My laughter does not negate the possibility that I was none too fond of the GSC reference. However, I try to not to whine and complain about peoples' choices of words, nor to take complaints personally. This is just the internet. That aside, the site should be fine, but we appreciate the heads-up when something goes awry, whether it's determined to be a hosting, DNS, or user error

It's entirely possible that moving GSHI, has done irreparable damage to the entire internet, as observed by most of it failing to function correctly since the event took place. Not that the recent "security" updates for Firefox haven't also broken the internet from a user's point of view.

I realize that this is quite late to offer, but if you ever need hosting, I'd be more than happy to let you piggy back on my plan for free.

As far as I can tell, the problems people are experiencing with GSHI are entirely due to their ISP's junk DNS servers. Which is something that'll only get worse over time.

The offer is appreciated, but we're quite happy with our current hosting. And yeah...I hate it when the ISP has badly implemented DNS...
