  • Rimsky, can you please recover these codes?

Hey there rimsky. Can you please recover the codes from user Thunder 2 that I deleted from this page: http://gamehacking.org/game/90021

There were codes on a group called All Level Codes, and the same codes were also repeated in the Top group. When I deleted the codes from the All Level group, they were also deleted from the Top group, I have no idea why that happened.

Ok there's something weird going on with the database.

I moved some codes from a group to another group in another game page, and all the codes in the Top group were removed too. I think they were all duplicate codes, but for some reason instead of leaving them alone like before, now they are getting removed too?

give me a link to a game that has duplicate codes in a group and in the top.
Please put all complaints in writing and submit them here.

        Here: http://gamehacking.org/game/108318

The Rtype 1 Group has the same codes as the Top group. I suspect that if I move or delete one of the codes, it will be moved or deleted from the repeated spot too.

        *edit*
I see what the problem is. If you try to edit a duplicate code in the TOP group, you'll see that the group shown is actually the RType1 group. So now instead of duplicate codes with their own independent groups, now they share the same group. So if you delete one, the other goes too. I don't remember seeing that behavior before.

Recently I made codes with a group ID, that didn't actually belong to an existing group, visible in the top. What was happening was you were seeing the same code in two places. It was due to a common mistake in PHP programming, where 0 equates to false, but isn't always false. One of the side effects of PHP being less strict than other programming languages.

In other words, my bad, all fixed. Those codes you deleted aren't directly recoverable, you'll have to re-add them.

Thanks for the fix, but umm.... I have no way to recover the delete codes. I couldn't find them on the bsfree database. I thought you said you had some kind of backup you used for testing?

Archive doesn't have the page archived, and google has a cache of it, but the group doesn't expand to show the codes. I tried the source, but the codes in a group do not appear either.

There were more codes than those from other contributors, if I remember correctly.

You didn't say anything about than Thunder2 codes

Are you enter those codes back into db?

'cause I didn't remember the name of the other hacker :P

I haven't entered the codes yet. I'm waiting for rimsky to reply about that backup something he mentioned in another thread. If he's not able, then I'll add the ones you posted.
