Do something really hostile that causes severe problems with IE to the point that people stop looking at the site using that... Which is not actually a solution. Part of the problem here is I don't exactly have access to a copy of IE, and I'd need to test out stuff on at least 6, maybe even 5 as well.
Well, there's one option. Have the menu notably changed if the person's user agent string matches that of IE. As in, maybe even have it switch to a javascript one. It's a really dumb thing to do, but it might make sense.
Wouldn't work. You can't get to offscreen parts of the menu, even if you try to scroll to them.
