  • [Suggestion] RAM Dump Database

I just thought it'd be nice to have a RAM dump database available here, so everyone could port their codes to other regions

Every game should offer 2 or 3 RAM dumps (best would be when a stage/level is loaded) for the case of pointers.

I also think that whatever RAM/ROM maps you can find (for older games, most likely) should be added to this site. We need to cover ALL bases of video game hacking and cheating (except for hosting roms and isos, of course).

Which consoles are you talking? Things can get mega huge. I wish Skiller's PS2 elf collection was here just in case somebody needs it for porting, but those aren't RAM, just static code loaded into RAM. I've wished the same for PS3 games too. I remember some SNES games got a little bigger than expected too.

any console (maybe separating the DB in categories. one for each system).
Well, when it comes to Wii U hacking the RAM dumps would take a huge amount of storage (2GB of RAM (1GB for games, another GB for the system)).
Maybe every RAM dump contributer could use their own mega/mediafire/or whatever account to upload zipped RAM dumps as long as the links won't become dead..
Or at least an admin could make a sticky thread where all RAM dumps' links of the following posts are collected

There are already plenty of sites hosting RAM/ROM dumps of older games such as Super Mario World and NES Tetris. ROMHacking.net is a very well-known site for things of this nature. However, that site's database is far from complete (as it mainly deals with custom patches made for older games).
