  • Any way to move a bunch of codes to a group?

With the recent group problems on the code pages, I have to move a bunch of my codes to a new group, but the only way to do it is to click them one by one. Is there any way to select a bunch of codes and perform the move to a new or old group? Or is there any way to perform other activities such as editing or deleting multiple codes at once?

Select your codes -> Under the Selected drop-down menu, click Edit -> Change the Group of each code.

That's a lot easier than doing them one by one since it saves you time from reopening the modification window multiple times.

Hmmm, I don't see that option. I check mark each code, but the only drop down menus I see on top are: Add, un/Check All, export code, Request, and Simple/Normal View. I don't see any drop down menu called "Selected".

Are you viewing the database in Normal or Simple View? It seems to only be visible in Simple View. If you don't see it in Simple View, then it must be a permission issue.

I'm in normal view. In simple view there aren't even groups to begin with.
I guess moving is something only admins can do.

It's going to be a pain manually moving and fixing all the group problems I've encountered today. It's been two hours and I'm still fixing stuff.

Well, that falls back on my last statement. It must be a permission given to Administrators and Chroniclers, though, Hackers should be able to modify their codes in bulk.

Edit: If you can post what needs to be moved, I can do it later or maybe another Admin or Chronicler will help out.

I could post what needs to be fixed, but I'm still going through every single submission of mine. Some of my submissions are 200+ codes long. It would take too long to explain which codes go into which old or new group.
Also, some groups have invisible names for some reason. So I have to detect which codes inside that invisibly-named group belong to what option/mode in the game.

If I could be allowed to move codes myself it would be much easier.

I'm sure rimsky will add the permissions or fix it once he sees the threads.

                      Thanks!

Does that mean I can add other people's codes too? Cool!

Yes you have full access to the DB without restrictions.
