  • Problem: some code notes overflow the screen.

Some codes, when you click to see the note, will expand horizontally with no line breaks (happens in more than one browser, so it's not a browser related issue). There's several problems caused by this.

It makes most of the note unreadable as it goes past the edge of what you can see. The actual code itself can't be seen either. And the note also can't be closed unless you refresh the page, because the close note button is also pushed out of sight.

That can be a huge problem, because you also can't expand any more notes until you refresh the page (because the buttons to do that are hidden as well). If you were selectively checking a bunch of codes that you wanted to export, it gets screwed up because refreshing will make you lose any codes you had checked, but you also can't view any more note descriptions until you refresh.

    Example:
The "Follow Modifier" code for ALTTP
(just bring up that page and search for "follow")

    Recommendations:
Maybe having an expand/close note button all the way to the left, so at the least you can always close a note if it overflows the screen, without having to refresh the page? It really does interfere badly with exporting codes if you have to refresh, as mentioned before.

I did see a couple more codes like this for a couple other games earlier today but unfortunately I didn't make a note of them at the time.

It would be impossible for people to search through manually to find all the codes that are doing this, of course. But is there any way things like that could be auto detected and somehow auto fixed?
    Thank the hackers.

I ran into this in another code and that was the same issue and the same remedy. I urge anyone else who notices these errors to post them here so we can fix them.

I've now discovered that clicking the code name will close the note even if you can't see the usual open/close note button, so it's nice that there is already a way around the problem without having to refresh the page.

Came across some more. If I see any others I'll post them as well.
Super Metroid: Alter Save Location Codes: "Can Be Warped To Many Different Places And Areas!"
ALTTP: Glitch Codes (first set): "Freaky Code"
Super Mario World 2: "Transformation Modifier"

With Super Metroid I've also noticed that there's a number of codes in the Have Upgrade Codes section which are not upgrade codes at all. Basically most (but not all) of the codes by Joner in that section (several should be in Warp And Alter Area Codes, for example). The ones by Codex~187 don't really belong there either as they alter game mechanics rather than giving upgrades.

Also in Super Metroid, "Can Access Tourain From Sunken Statues Room" is listed twice.

I moved most of codes by Joner to Miscellaneous Codes

other Super metroid, list problems have not been fixed as of this post

          Edit:

I moved codes by Codex~187 to Miscellaneous Codes

I deleted duplicate "Can Access Tourain From Sunken Statues Room" code

I have come across this problem a bunch of times.
Isn't there a way to make the Modifier box recognize when someone is putting in more words than numbers/symbols and maybe trigger a warning letting people know they are probably putting the wrong information?
