As the years have gone by, the desire to buy video game magazines has since faded - just like the very coverdisks and game demos which once branded each publication's cover. Commodore Amiga gamers, however, have the ability to once again enjoy these glorious days through a new downloadable digital magazine coming with its very own demo disk.
Now in its second issue, 880 Gamer features everything we used to know and love about old Commodore Amiga magazines. Alongside the very much expected multi-page reviews and cheats, 880 Gamer ventures back into the past by printing old advertisements whilst also taking a look at talented Amiga artists and composers of yesteryear.
This month's demo disc which comes included within the magazine's download offers a playable bout of Shadow Fighter, Gremlin's impressive Amiga beat-em-up from 1995. The demo disc is provided in ADZ format, ready for use in emulators such as WinUAE - and something the more advanced Amiga users can write to floppy disk.
No printing date seems to be set for issue 3 yet, however, we'll be eagerly awaiting our next demo disc laden mag.
