  • Prego Italian Sauce Recalled for Possible Spoilage

    By News Desk
    January 1, 2014

The Campbell Soup Company is recalling around 300 cases of 24-ounce jars of Prego Traditional Italian sauce because of possible spoilage.

The products were delivered to retailer distribution centers in Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

The recalled products were manufactured on Dec. 15, 2013, and have an expiration date of June 16, 2015. The time code on the top of the lid range from “CT BJ ZV 0330” to “CT BJ ZV 0449.”

Consumers who have purchased a recalled product are advised not to eat it and to return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

No other Campbell products are affected and no illnesses have been reported in connection with the product. However, due to the time involved in tracing an illness back to a specific food product, it is impossible to say if any illnesses have occurred.

Wal-Mart recalls card table, chair sets after finger amputations

Wal-Mart recalls card table, chair sets after finger amputations

    The Associated Press

Consumer Product Safety Commission Wal-Mart Stores is recalling this card table and chair set after reports of injuries, including fingertip amputations.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is recalling about 73,400 Mainstays five-piece card table and chair sets because the chairs can unexpectedly collapse, posing a fall hazard or potential finger injury.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday that Wal-Mart has received 10 reports of injuries, including one finger amputation, three fingertip amputations, sprained or fractured fingers and one report of a sore back.

The recall includes the Mainstays card table sets with a black padded metal folding table and four black padded metal folding chairs. "Made by: Dongguan Shin Din Metal & Plastic Products Co.," the company that made the chair cushions, is printed on a white label on the bottom of the chairs.

Consumer Product Safety Commission This is the label on the table and chair sets that Wal-Mart is recalling because of the risk for collapse and injury.

The sets were sold at Wal-Mart stores across the U.S. and on its website from May 2013 through November 2013 for about $50.

Consumers should immediately stop using the set and return it to Wal-Mart for a full refund. Individuals may contact Walmart at (800) 925-6278 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT on Saturday, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. CT on Sunday.
