I don't own a PS2 yet, but when I get one, should I get the GameShark2 or a CodeBreaker for use with it?

get a codebreaker...with version 8 comming out soon you would have alot to look forward to if you have a usb flash pen..like being able to upoload/download saves/codelists and you don't need your ps2 near yout computer to do all this..not to mention you would get all the great codes cmgsccc makes for it...

kewl, i hope to get a ps2 soon, and i very recently bought a "usb flash pen" or usb smartdrive. it holds about 256MB and cost only $77 (that's about $59 US) w00t! i use it mostly now to use my personalized copy of mirc and msn messenger.

i see they are currently selling ps2's for $219 (canadian) at my local EB! w00t w00t! and since i have a pretty substantial bank account, i don't see why i couldn't pick one up soon after my next paycheck. of course, i'll keep my psx, and probably get the cheat device of choice for th ps2

        Re: GameShark or CodeBreaker?

True, Treu Get a CodeBreaker, do not even go close to anything remotly labled as a 'GameShark 2' ...those things are about the buggiest things ever made. Plus as of right now in most places, a CodeBreaker is pretty cheap. Well to 7.0/7.1 is...and well at like about $8.00 for a CB 7.0 and then you get to e-mail and 'fuss' at Pelican for free, and they send you free CB updates, heck nothing beats talking down to a company and getting back at them for all their ripp offs over the years.

Up to you to go for an version 8 ...but well, they came out with ver 8 so fast, they did pretty much run over people, so best thing, I think at least is to just buy a cheap 7.0 and demand replacements and let them pay for awhile, yeah Pelican is as stupid as a box of rocks, kinda, but they still at least as far as PS2 make the better cheat devices.

Never, go for the GS2, nor AR for a PS2...AR/ARMax and GS2 always freeze and have ALOT of codes that harm the cheat device itself or even the game's memory. Again, none of them are exactly blue ribbon winners, but ammong them all CB is the best... specialy the 7.1 seeing as you can milk them for free from Pelican.

          GameShark or CodeBreaker?

The PS2 Codebreaker was great and I wish other game enhancers didn't mess around with that encryption crap.

            GameShark or CodeBreaker?

Well speaking as someone who has all three, (GS2, ARMax, CodeBreaker) I have gotten the most use out of the CodeBreaker, and the least use from the GS2.

The CodeBreaker has far more workable codes, and it's just more "user-friendly" than the GS in my opinion.

                GameShark or CodeBreaker?

Yeah, the problem entering non codebreaker codes is there is no rhymre or reason to them. U know all code breaker codes usually start with 80xxxxxx xxxx. But AR can be like ABDR 9RJF RORD. And it's more than one line for each code with AR. If you don't shell out cash for a keyboard or hook your system up to a computer your pretty screwed.
