  • PSP Go R Button has Stopped Working

Does anyone know how to get an unresponsive PSP Go R trigger to work again? I would hate to lose the ability to use TempAR (besides as just a cheat engine). Or, does anyone know how to render TempAR usable WITHOUT needing the R trigger?

Please delete the post below this one; did not know this one had been posted. Also, I apologize for (accidentally) double-posting.

Update on the R-button situation: I found a clever button remap that maps the R button's functions onto the SELECT button. The Cross button has been remapped to the START button (for really easy Irish-whipping in SvR 11), whose function has been remapped to the Cross button.

The only "problem" I have now is accidentally hitting the Cross button when trying to make my character get up off the mat or break out of a stunned state (makes the game pause). LOL

I hate to break it to you, dlevere, but my PSP Go is too "far gone"--though still functional--to be accepted for repairs. The power switch is missing, the slide is broken (though shored up with a piece of old silicone rubber keyboard contact pad), and the exterior casing is missing some of the exterior trim and has cracks in various places. Besides, I have no money to speak of for spending on said repairs. Anyway, I found a pretty good button remap using CWCheat's RemaPSP feature, where I mapped the R trigger's function onto the Triangle button, which I lumped onto the SELECT button's function. I then swapped the Cross and Circle button functions (sort of like how Japanese games use the Circle button as the confirmation button, and the Cross button as the "back" button). This allows me to do easy Irish whips using the Circle and Triangle buttons, and I can still perform grapples using the Cross button. However, the lack of a functional R trigger definitely restricts what sort of games my PSP can still play. However, as I tend to play almost nothing but SvR 11, this shouldn't be much of a problem.

        Oh.

I know you said that you didn't have enough money for repairs right now, but send me your Zip Code in a private message. Perhaps I can find a good repair shop near you for future reference.

My PSP found YET ANOTHER way to "malfunction" in that the little interior power-switch lever would sometimes automatically slip into the "hold" position, so I completely disassembled the power switch to get rid of that problem. Now, I have another problem: how do I get my PSP to turn on via the power-switch contact plates (I left the power-switch housing intact)? Do I need something made of copper to facilitate this, or is there a way to bypass the power-switch assembly entirely?

No clue on that one. Helder is the resident expert here on assembly and disassembly.
