When Rune disrespects and insults a special needs person with autism (ugetab) who suddenly and tragically died, and then continues the insults and disrespect to a mourning mother's face, then refuses to apologize to the mourning mother... That is the lowest of the low for someone to do that.

But I digress, and agree with ending the cold code war.

I don't care who you're talking about, don't delight in someone else's misfortunes. A video game website is not more important than a man's health or well-being.

That's the precise point Rune fails to grasp in ugetab's death. And my post was derived from his post:

The original plan was to get the site back up again and get the updates going so that people can see that GSCentral.org will continue!

That is still going to happen. I unfortunately got really sick for a week and then that slowed down everything else that happened in my life. I was in a long term relationship and found out that the other person wasn't so awesome, so, without sparing any details, I finally got tired of the person's highly emotionally abusive behaviour that seemed to be only getting WORSE WITH HER AGE and left her in mid-December.

So there was some needed recovery time from that change in my life and I still had other obligations to attend to at the time.

I just patched the boards and fully intend to update daily and get the website as functional as possible. It will take some time because Dave left me with only a few dumps of the last known database.

Anyways, I am still here and determined to work on the website and get it going. I don't have a timeframe but am pleased that the website is now 100% back in my hands where it truly belongs. This hasn't been the case since almost near the beginning with Jim Reinhart passed the website onto me and gave me his complete blessing

And so I improvised and added the rest with exaggeration, sarcasm, and jokes for tongue and cheek... I'm surprised that wasn't picked up by others. Btw, if he had really been seriously sick, I would never have "danced" on that.

But I digress, and agree with ending the cold code war.

Also, olala you don't have to always edit and delete your opinion posts when you see people may not agree or like them (#40). Your the commander mr. Huh? Because my main problem with him isn't about the stealing of codes, it was how he treated ugetab's mother. Others thought the exchanges was in regards to the code war. So when Rune and I mess with each other, for me that's why. But I'm done.

Letting go of old and relatively minor slights makes sense. After all, ending up like Israel and Palestine exclusively over some misused or misattributed codes is pretty silly. The missing link here is that Rune frequently behaves like a pompous, vindictive asshole, and he's the kind of shameless self-promoter that some people find intolerable by default.

For my part, I didn't start poking fun at him over some appropriated codes or a dodgy database. It was just that, after several years of watching him be a dick to people I consider friends, I decided to stop observing (mostly) silently. That said, I made light of him rather out of the blue in this topic, and he hadn't done anything recently to earn it. I thought it'd be good for a laugh, and might prompt a funny response, which is somewhat immature. I'll avoid that in future.

That's understandable, but it also happened several years ago. I am pretty sure we have all moved on and can agree that Rune was wrong for what he did/said. I just think that was a cheap go-to response since no one found any humor, but a lot of fault in that post of yours.

I would rather see GSC put in better hands or put to REST. Why would you go to a site that steals the majority of the codes, do not ask the hackers permission to post their stuff, or as much as put a redirect to where the codes were found. God forbid if you speak up on it you are flamed, insulted, mocked, and even say your codes aren't worth the time yet they are never taken down. The GSC website should just die already. Database is down, downloads are down, you cannot even view any information from the site.

agreed with you, GMO! that's why i only download the files from GameHacking (this site) glad that let me select one of the cheats for my games like i select Game Genie for Flintstones games on different systems.

anyways, Rune need to learn respect other people inculding Ugetab's mom. yeah, i know about Ugetab and i'm sorry to hear that, everyone except for Rune. my condolences go to you all and Ugetab's mom. so i never forgive Rune for his stupid behavior and i never use his "codes" for my emulators

EDIT: i use some of Ugetab's codes for my games on there and they work very well.

One cannot know the pain of losing a child unless it happens. Closest I can come is that she who woulda been my first child was stillborn 41 years ago. Painful as it was, it's nothing compared to losing a child whom you've raised.

Ugetab was a special internet friend. We often corresponded via private email, and when he passed, I found it hard to believe for awhile; I thought it was a cruel joke.

And Hybrid, my parents have been gone since 1976;(dad-heart attack, Mom-cancer) they never got to see my kids or grandkids. Good to see you keep your mom's memory alive here.

Let us keep remembering Ugetab for the great person he was, and remember his Mom in our prayers.

If you think giving him a fraction of his own medicine is wrong, that's fine, maybe it is. I can only imagine what Rune would be saying if it were reversed and the fate of GSHI met the same as GSC. He'd be rubbing it in and celebrating like he did when GSHI's sister website went inactive. But two wrongs don't make a right. Btw, I purposely made my post exaggerating to be humorous and make it obvious that most of it was a joke. (I thought "shock therapy" would have been a dead give away). Apparently some didn't think so, that's fine. Humor must not be my strong suite.

We've all made good points and gave our 2 cents. So if there's no objection, I'm going to close the this thread so it doesn't carry on and on.
