  • What Was Your Best Subject?

    By Jason English

On Fridays, I ask a series of unrelated questions. Reading your answers helps me get through the afternoon. Answer one, answer all, or ask your own question. On to this week's topics...

    1. Think back to your high school or junior high days. What was the one subject that gave you the least trouble? Are you able to use that subject in your career?

    2. If you could stick any arcade game in your office, which would you choose?

    3. When were you last totally, completely shocked by something?

    4. Your turn! Got a question? Ask away. Have a great weekend!

Chemistry was my favorite subject in school.
I use it very little at my work where I make Polystyrene (what people usually call Styrofoam).

Was never too big into arcades, if I had to choose one I guess Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 since I spent the most time with that one.

Last time I was completely shocked was just the other day.

Someone sent me a video of a Mexican cartel chopping living people into pieces :-(

      1. Reading, but I liked Science better.

      2. Street Fighter Alpha 2

      3. Hmm, I'd rather not say.

        1. Math, and I use it for almost nothing. Aside from reading on websites, there is absolutely nothing I use from school.

        2. I've never liked playing games on arcades. Get me a directional pad or something, anything more comfy for a controller.

        3. I wouldn't know, not much shocks me. People are always confused by my lack of responding to things because I really don't care about things. About the only shocks I ever get are the out of blue uncontrollable and unpredictable nervous breakdowns, and it's been a while since one of those. I don't know if it's because I've heavily reduced my drinking, or because I'm very strongly sticking to only gluten free foods, or both, or really just a coincidence.

Reading. I taught myself how to read before I went to Elementary School. I use reading today in my music and songwriting.

          Time Crisis.

          3. When were you last totally, completely shocked by something?

The last time that I hit the lottery (for $500)

            1. Science, I used to love all the cool shit from Mr. Wizard and Beakman's World and Bill Nye the Science Guy.

            2. Too many good games but a nice one many people can play is Marvel Vs Capcom 2, even non fighters can play it by button mashing.

            3. The story about Arron's Rentals installing spyware on people's laptops and PCs, some crazy shit right there and in court they will be getting toasted for sure. Good thing Hulk Hogan didn't do commercials for them hahaha.
