The end of MAME!?

Not sure it's the end, but I am sure that a lot of people that don't receive any sort of credit for their contributions will be pissed off though. I'm really not sure why this is just now being discussed as it should have been addressed from the very start of the project. This is what happens when too many hands are in the cookie jar... Hopefully Aaron steps back and reevaluates the situation at hand before people start abandoning the project outside its main programming contributors.

Even if it is dead other devs will most likely just pick up where they left off.Originally posted by Abystus View PostNot sure it's the end, but I am sure that a lot of people that don't receive any sort of credit for their contributions will be pissed off though. I sometimes wonder just how many devs this emulator has because I know Dolphin has well over a hundred.

I don't think this monster project will end from a disagreement over a license change. They'll figure something out.
Edit: After looking at the last few commits, it looks like they are changing the license. I believe some that don't like the change are either removing their work or adding copyrights to the files. I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but I wouldn't expect anything super major to happen as a result.
