Nintendo of America President says "meh" to PS4 and Xbox One lineups

“It’s all about the games. The competitive systems have announced their launch lineups. I’m allowed to say ‘Meh,’” said Fils-Aime, “I look at our lineup of titles and I feel good about our lineup. We’ve got Zelda. We’ve got Mario. We’ve got Donkey Kong. In addition to great titles like Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101, I feel very good about our lineup, and I feel very good about the value proposition we’re putting out there for the consumer.”

Those games might be fun, but you guys need to get something else. Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong. I'm surprised I don't see Metroid, Wario, and those first 3 mentioned a few times since there's always Mario Party, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart. They really need something else, it's gotten very old. Sure, Pikmin isn't too old so I won't pick on that, but those other 3 were here in the 80's, and make at least 20 appearances per Nintendo console. Try something new, as in all new characters and stories.

I say "Meh" to Nintendo's repetitive and unimpressive line-up.

I loved them back in the day, but lately they have become devoid of fun, heart and soul compared to back then. Not to mention that I don't think very highly of the Wii U at all.

Either ways, I agree with Bungholio on this one. Sorry Nintendo.

I was asking my room mate about this yesterday too. I kept thinking "What did he see for the lineup of PS4 & Xbox One that made him go 'meh, I like our Nintendo lineup better'". Grand Theft Auto, Elder Scrolls, Halo, Killzone, inFAMOUS, Diablo, Destiny, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy XV, Watch Dogs, Wolfenstein, The Division, Oddworld, Dead Rising 3, Beyond Good And Evil 2, Thief, The Order, Human Element, and whatever else. You can see all of that, say "meh", and then say "I like my company's Mario, Donkey Kong, & Zelda better." What is he doing, just spewing BS or does he not do anything beyond sitting in a room with nothing but Nintendo consoles and a TV and play the same stuff over and over, and every so often leave the room and take a glance at the outside world? Either he just loves promoting his stuff, a closet case, or in severe denial.

I look at our lineup of titles and I feel good about our lineup. We’ve got Zelda. We’ve got Mario. We’ve got Donkey Kong.

Yeah, I think you're the only one saying that. Go get your head checked and move past the 80s. You have the same thing over and over. If you've played 3, you already know what to expect with the rest.
