I've been playing random Sega Genesis games lately and many of them have been duds. Then this morning, I played Pulseman. What a good, enjoyable game. The graphics were great too, especially the backgrounds. The game is not too short, not too long, and can be beaten in one sitting... just how I like em.
After beating the game and realizing how good it is, I was surprised that I had never even heard of this game before. It's in the Top 20 Genesis (well, technically MegaDrive) games in my opinion. Then I realized why I had never heard of the game before... cuz the cartridge was only released in Japan. It was eventually made available for the Genesis in North America when it was released via the Sega Channel as an "exclusive". But, if you were like me, you never connected to the Sega Channel. In fact, I didn't even know that existed until I got into emulation. And none of my friends ever knew about it either. So unless you downloaded games back in the day through the Sega Channel during it's short window of existence, then like me, you probably had never heard/played it back then either. Well now you might have already played it, but it you still haven't, then I highly recommend you play it.
