  • Rockman II GX Hack

Sophia has released a great Rockman 2 hack which greatly improves this game. (Japanese version of Mega Man 2) Better graphics, more and tougher enemies! breathes new life into an old game!

Yes, you WILL eventually reach the end of Metal Man's stage!

Slight spoiler: When you fight the alien Dr. Wily, the last fight of the game, Bubble Man's power does NOT harm him as in the regular game! TYou'll hafta find out for yourself how to kill him.

The patch works with a rom of Rock Man 2 (J). Most of the patch is in English. (I dunno if it'll work with an English translation of RM2 or not.)

Good News: All the codes that work for Rock Man 2 will work with the patch.

Definitely worth a play if U like the Mega Man series.

Nice. There are many great ROM hacks and translations at www.ROMHacking.net

You probably already know about that website, but just in case others don't, it's definitely worth checking out.

Now broadcasting from the underground command post. Deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker. Somewhere under the brick & steel of a nondescript building. We've once again made contact w/ our leader, OSG

      Absolutely right!

Most hacks are easily patched with the user-friendly Lunar patcher. Before you simply reject a given hack patch as not working, be sure you've:
      (A) Patched it correctly
      (B) Used the correct ROM. Many older games have multiple editions and differing ROMS out there.
(C)Used the right emulator. For example, several patched NES games will work only on an older version of FCEU, or only on the latest version of FCEUX, or only on Nesten, etc. etc.
(D)Most codes that work on an unpatched ROM will work on a patched one.

It sometimes takes a little experimentation to find the right ROM/patch/emu combo for a given game, but the rewards are worth it, as it's often like playing a whole new game! (Same for English or other-language patches for games that are in a language U don't know.)
