  • You can play your digital games on a friend's PS4

    By Acid_Snake

Sony has confirmed that you will be able to play your digital bought games on a friend’s PS4, how does it work?

Apparently you can log in to your PSN account on a friend’s PS4, download any game you have bought and play it on your friend’s console, that simple, without much hassle.

Neil Brown (Sony’s R&D senior team leader) was the one to confirm this, and as he noted, the PS4′s ability to play games as they are being downloaded allows for this to be much quicker, even if you only get to play a portion of the game.

    Neil Brown:

“You can visit your friends house you can log into your account and play any game from your digital library, which is good. But how useful is that if it takes half a day to download the game you want to play? With Play As You Download you get much quicker access to at least the first section of the game so you can start playing quicker. So this makes a digital library a practical option in the real world.”

Of course, there are a few questions that arise: how many consoles can you do this with? how many consoles can be connected to the same account at the same time? is there any other limitation to this?

It’s no doubt that this is Sony’s response to Microsoft removing the family plan, a really bad move from Microsoft if you ask me. It seems now that it’s Sony the ones giving users options, and listening to their opinions, and this is a big plus for me when considering next-gen consoles. Let me hear your thoughts on the comments bellow.
